Project Overview

Chengdu Jinjiang Puyuan is a mid-rise residential project completed in 2024, located in Sansheng Township, Jinjiang District. It covers a land area of 21,382.83㎡ and a building area of 57,060.63㎡ with a plot ratio of 1.8. Relying on the natural landscape of Sansheng Township and aligning with the "park city" development strategy, the project takes nature, ecology and other concepts as its themes. It adopts a three-row arranged layout with a staggered design to create north-south double courtyards and east-west themed courtyards, and is equipped with independent elevator halls for each household, serving as a model of ecological green corridor residential areas.

Project Brief

With the project number 2022-0279, gad Design is responsible for the architectural scheme design, while Zhouyu Design undertakes the construction drawing design. The client is Chengdu Huajin Shenghong Industrial Co., Ltd. The project consists of 6 residential buildings (10-11 floors each) and an underground parking garage. There are motor vehicle entrances/exits on the east and west sides, and pedestrian entrances/exits on the east and south sides, with a complete supporting fire lane system. The housing units feature bright kitchens and bathrooms. The building facades take gray and white as the base tone, combined with materials such as glass and aluminum panels, balancing texture and safety.

Project Innovation/Need

1.In terms of space design, staggered building layouts create multiple courtyards, and the landscape entrance hall on the east side connects themed courtyards, creating a sense of seclusion and belonging.

2.The facades extract elements from Yuzhou culture and adopt a public-building-style design with large glass surfaces and geometric lines, integrating local culture with modern living experience.

3.Each household is equipped with an independent elevator hall and an exclusive evacuation passage, balancing privacy and safety.

Design Challenge

First, under the fixed elevation of the architectural scheme, it is necessary to conform to the integrity of the upper-level planning and urban interface, and coordinate with the surrounding texture and road network. Second, it is required to balance the high-quality landscape and ecological attributes, and realize the efficient integration of building layout, traffic organization and functional supporting facilities under the constraint of a 1.8 plot ratio. Third, it is essential to balance the texture of the facade and cost control, and meet the requirements of safety standards and quality improvement.

Sustainability

In response to Chengdu's "park city" development strategy, the project relies on the natural resources of Sansheng Township and takes ecology as the theme. It creates a multi-level landscape with tall arbors, shrubs and water features to build a vibrant ecological community. The buildings adopt a large glass surface design to ensure ventilation and lighting, reducing energy consumption. The facade materials balance safety and environmental protection, and the layout and traffic organization focus on the efficient use of resources, conforming to the trend of green living.
