The brand aims to create an innovative outdoor clothing product oriented to the high-end market. The resultant SN tie-dye wool T-shirt mainly adopts 16.5μm ultra-fine merino wool from Australia, and marries modern textile technology with ancient tie-dye craftsmanship, striking a balance between functionality and aesthetic pleasure.

As outdoor sports flourishes, there is a growing demand for clothing that features both practical functionality and stylish design. In response, the design team has meticulously developed this SN tie-dye wool T-shirt. The product draws inspiration from the beauty of nature while incorporating innovative designs and techniques, aiming to offer outdoor enthusiasts an ideal solution integrating high breathability, excellent sun protection, and superior quick-drying performance.

Australian 16.5μm ultra-fine merino wool as the main material ensures that the body can remain dry and comfortable all the time. At the same time, sun protection technology is introduced to achieve UPF100+, allowing users to enjoy the fun of sports in the sun. Additionally, the unique camouflage tie-dye patterns add infinite artistic charm, making each T-shirt an unparalleled entity.

Project Innovation/Need

Microclimate Adjustment: Ultra-fine merino wool, by virtue of its unique fiber structure, can automatically adjust the temperature based on environmental changes to ensure a comfortable experience for wearers in different weather conditions.

Dynamic Humidity Management: Thanks to the naturally porous fiber structure of merino wool, the T-shirt boasts outstanding moisture-wicking capabilities to effectively keep the body dry and crisp, reducing the discomfort due to sweat and improving sports performance.

Efficient Sun Protection: The UPF100+ product provides people involved in outdoor sports with comprehensive and efficient UV protection, preventing the skin from damage.

Advanced Technology: Germany’s Betaspun spinning technology ensures industry-leading pilling resistance (pilling-resistant rating of 4, better than the national standard). Meanwhile, Venture FiberTM technology significantly enhances the T-shirt’s breathability and comfort.

Design Challenge

The challenge lies in how to perfectly marry traditional tie-dye craftsmanship with modern high-tech fabric. Deeply exploring the value and charm of traditional craftsmanship, the design team, inspired by natural elements like clouds, leaves, and rocks, has specially invited experienced tie-dye masters to participate in product design and production, equipping each T-shirt with a unique natural texture and color.

Besides, the product makes full use of modern technology including advanced Germany’s Betaspun spinning technology and Venture FiberTM technology, greatly improving the pilling resistance, durability, breathability, and comfort. Furthermore, it innovatively utilizes eco-friendly coolmax yarn as an auxiliary material, which avoids itches while retaining the smooth touch of wool, and enhances the quick-drying performance.

Sustainability

The eco-friendly coolmax yarn made from recycled plastic bottles embodies the concept of the circular economy, namely “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, which can effectively alleviate soil/water/air pollution caused by plastic waste. Using recycled plastic bottles instead of producing new plastic fiber significantly reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

The tie-dye craftsmanship adopts natural dyes to minimize chemical pollution, reflecting the brand’s commitment to environmental protection.
