Project Brief
Just like the strong contrast branding colors Red & Blue, tradition and young elements could be the strong contrast as well. The contrast ideas are extended into the store, the organic counter top with seamless stainless steel counter front, curved detailed door & window frame and neon signs.
The layer of the pastry is an inspiration for the shopfront. These patterns are designed as half & quarter circle , RGB LED strip all the way around the top and match the branding color. The elements are so vivid during the night and the shop front is an unique feature to present the brand's energy and passion.
The combination of various materials and warm lightings enriches the layers of the space, such as textured French Wash paint, crazy paving tile, Tas Oak counter top and curved rattan ceiling panels. The glass block wall is also an key element to brings more natural light into the shop during the daytime.
Project Innovation/Need
This vivid shopfront design is a great outcome to this corner block, especially for every Friday Night Chinatown Market and busy weekend. It presents the vibe of the city night.
Design Challenge
As a 50 sqm store in the corner block, the layout is a challenge. How to make the kitchen flow successful and efficient gave us a lots of headaches.
We also need to thinking about the selling part and customer experience. How to maximize the food presentation area and customer flow would always be the key point to the hospitality venue.
Sustainability
We are using varieties of natural materials to achieve the sustainability, such as organic rattan ceiling panel and natural Tas oak bench top.
Recessed digital LCD screen is an efficient and sustainable way to show the promotions. Instead of printing posters, the new advertisements or food processing video would be much easier to replace in the screen.
