Project Brief

At Sanofi, we are deeply committed to leveraging Hospitality Management as a means to enhance people & culture, rather than just managing physical spaces or services.
- Leverage the differentiation of the employer's brand to attract talent
- Increase loyalty and reduce turnover
- Facilitate the return to the workplace for collaboration and collective innovation
- Enhance well-being to boost engagement and performance
- Foster a sense of belonging
Hospitality Management is centered around a "user-centric" mindset, aiming to provide unique on-site experiences that distinctly set the workplace apart from the home environment.

At Sanofi, we incorporate captivating visuals, soothing sounds, delightful aromas, and tactile elements into our workplaces. Our sensory-centric design stimulates creativity, fosters collaborative thinking, and enhances our daily experience. Rethinking the employee experience, creating a place where people can connect, collaborate, create, and celebrate, all together in a workplace that enhances our culture, fuels our aspirations, and shows what we can achieve when we work together to improve people’s lives. Our strategic goals for this project were 1) to reflect the true diversity of our company in order to fully connect with the needs of our patients and customers, 2) to engage with diverse communities and inspired thinkers, and 3) to create a diverse and inclusive work environment for our employees to unleash their full potential.

Project Innovation/Need

A Space Tailored to Individual Needs
Sanofi's office is more than just a company showcase; it's a space meticulously designed to meet the unique needs of its employees. Prioritizing comfort, ergonomics, and functionality, the office maintains high aesthetic standards. Every zone and room is thoughtfully planned and furnished to enhance employee well-being and efficiency.
The Warsaw office exemplifies a project that merges top-tier interior design with Sanofi's mission and values. It harmoniously blends nature with modernity, incorporating functional solutions and a keen focus on employee needs. This creates a unique environment for work, relaxation, and creative development. Here, tradition meets innovation, fostering an atmosphere that supports the growth and success of the entire team.

A Haven for Relaxation and Inspiration
Sanofi’s office is designed for both work and relaxation. Alongside traditional workspaces, there are areas like the Chillout Zone with comfortable seating, beanbags, and a cozy atmosphere for employees to recharge. Inspiring quotes on the walls add a creative touch.

Special rooms, such as the Meeting Corner, are perfect for informal discussions and brainstorming, with colorful furniture that encourages creativity. The Game Room, equipped with a pool table, foosball table, and gaming consoles, offers a fun space for employees to unwind after work.

Design Challenge

During the design of Sanofi’s new Warsaw office, our team faced a significant challenge: integrating nature seamlessly with cutting-edge technology. Balancing these elements proved complex, but our solution taught us that adaptability and collaboration drive innovation.

Elegance in design fused with practicability culminates in an office space that not only captivates through its style but also fosters efficiency and comfort at work. Incorporating organic shapes, raw materials, and a cohesive color scheme mirrors Sanofi’s principles and aspirations. Modern technological implementations also highlight the company’s dedication to innovation.
We used a variety of natural elements, such as wood, stone, and fabrics in natural colors, to create a harmonious and inspiring environment. These materials, combined with modern elements, reflect the philosophy of Sanofi - a company that combines tradition with modernity.

Greenery positively impacts the well-being of employees, improving air quality and creating a friendly atmosphere.
Upon entry, the reception area greets visitors with its sophistication and amicable ambiance, akin to a distinctive hotel lobby than a traditional office entrance. The Warm Up Cool Down area offers a respite and a spot to gear up for upcoming engagements, while the conference rooms radiate sophistication and superiority, setting the perfect stage for professional endeavors and presentations. The design caters to the varied requisites, with designated areas for solitary tasks, collaborative gatherings, and active repose. The “Work Cafe” emerges as the focal hub, marrying the utility of a workplace with the convivial essence of a café, serving as the venue for an array of assemblies, pitches, and workshops.

Sustainability

The project emphasizes sustainability through several thoughtful design choices. We not only renovated vintage furniture from Sanofi’s previous office but also sourced second-hand pieces for a “vintage corner.” Additionally, our office features multiple mosaics, including a large one by Aleksandra Zawistowska made from recycled materials.

268! 🪴 That's exactly how many plants we have in the new Sanofi office in Warsaw!
We also took all the plants that lived with us in the previous headquarters and added many new ones. The greenest place in our office is the Palm House. And many of our employees indicate this jungle room as one of their favorite places to work.

The micro-farm vending machine for fresh herbs further underscores our commitment to eco-friendly practices while enhancing the workspace.
Throughout the design phase, pivotal consideration was given to maintaining accessibility for people with disabilities, ensuring adaptability, and a congenial setting for all personnel.

This locale does more than just underpin industrious labor; it also invigorates, motivates partnerships, and fosters growth. The Sanofi Office stands as a testament to the impeccable integration of functionality, aesthetic appeal, and commitment to staff welfare – a true embodiment of the alliance between the natural realm and modern-day progress.
