Project Overview
Design is not just a pure art, but a re-creation based on comprehensive precipitation and thinking of history, region, space and structure. This project extracts elements from ancient Chinese works of art and, integrating the features of local architectures, subtly divides them and introduces historical architectural elements with modern techniques, endowing the guild with a traditional "idea" and modern "shape".

Project Brief
The space, presented in a polygonal contour, is divided into areas for the lobby, seat area, bar, private room, and cashier. These areas are intercrossed and placed in positions and ranges showing refined spatial organization and formal language. The space is mainly gray, and the cement self-levelling ground connects the space in a smooth and comfortable way. The half-wall with natural textures serves as a form of boundary, ensuring the privacy of space in a boxed-off entirety. Looking like small courtyards in a large courtyard-like space, it makes the whole space more intelligent and energetic.
Project Innovation/Need
The revolving modeling at the entrance creates a tranquil, poetic atmosphere. The overhanging in this narrow space makes the opening unique and fascinating. The half-moon shaped doorway is an extension and hint of the overall design technique of space. While separating the public area and the private area, it naturally connects all the spaces.
Design Challenge
Passing through the entrance doorway, the rectangular spatial pattern is provided with a long wooden bar, which is connected to the stone cashier. The connection between wood and stone is a natural collision. The wooden lockers on the wall meet the storage function. The seat area at the side is also connected by a half-moon doorway. The high and low courtyard-style relationship, coupled with the shapes of eaves and half-wall, turns the space rhythmic and hierarchical.
Sustainability
In this space, landscapes, rockeries, plants and other architectural sketches are designed in diversified techniques to cope with spatial forms of various needs, which creates ingenious landscapes that borrow each other, making the interior landscaped, endowing the space with mystery and fun. With the light, it adjusts the spatial order to create an overall atmosphere. The space of the virtual and real, alternation and infiltration experiences subtle and delicate changes in the flow of light, brimming with strong vitality.
