Project Brief
Located in Hong Kong, this project features a natural wood-based design. We strive to provide clients with a cozy retreat that embodies modern retro aesthetics, adding depth to urban lifestyles. As city dwellers balance work and leisure, 'Urban Musical Night' aims to create a stylish home where residents can unwind. The design incorporates unique textures and trendy elements. Notably, our homeowner is a music teacher!
Project Need
The open layout enhances the sense of spaciousness in small units, while the bathroom features a special shower and soaking tub area for relaxation. Paired with instruments like trumpet, guitar, and Cajon, this space invites an immersive jazz blues experience, wrapping up the day on a perfect note.
Design Challenge
Many homeowners love the warmth and coziness that wood offers, but having too much wood can make an apartment look old and dull. By using various shades of brown with other earth tones and mixing different textures, We turned the tiny space into a comfy and resort-like living space for a coupe.
Sustainability
We think the warm living spaces should have the most natural elements so we try to use many wood materials and some lines to connect holes flat. We use all LED light ,low voltage as well as less lighting to save energy. Engineering wooden materials with "lines" make it easy to show everyone how natural and this is the main point to think about in this project. Green elements like plants can increase the atmosphere in the flat.
