Project Overview

The Intelligence Digital Parking Terminal-A01 is an all-in-one intelligent management device centred around "Single-parking-space Intelligence". It integrates an AI-powered vision system, multiple sensors, and low-power management technology, systematically addressing common challenges in urban parking scenarios — including illegal space occupation, inefficient space searching, and cumbersome operational management.

The A01 supports license plate management for new energy vehicles and whitelist-authorised vehicles. Equipped with self-developed license plate recognition algorithms, millimetre-wave radar, ultrasonic sensors, and an intelligent electronic control system, it enables real-time monitoring of parking space status, remote device management, and cloud data synchronisation.

The A01 adapts to various scenarios such as time-based sharing of parking spaces and unmanned operation & maintenance (O&M), building a win-win smart parking ecosystem for property owners, operators, and drivers, thus promoting the transformation of urban static traffic towards efficiency, sharing, and sustainability.

Project Brief

The A01 features the core concept of "Accurate Identification, Intelligent Control, and Ecosystem Interconnection.”With a modular design, this device allows for quick maintenance and functional upgrades, reducing O&M costs. Combined with a flexible plastic shell, it prevents the risk of accidental scratches.

Full-chain Perception System: Integrating a 2-megapixel visual AI camera, 24GHz millimetre-wave radars, and ultrasonic sensors, the A01 delivers reliable performance even in rainy or foggy conditions. With parking distance measurement accuracy of plus or minus 3cm, the device enables full automation of the entire process of "Vehicle Approach- Identification- Control."

Multi-modal Smart Control: The A01 supports new energy vehicle license plate recognition, whitelist authorisation, and time-based sharing mode. Through 4G IoT connectivity and cloud collaboration, it enables time-based sharing of private parking spaces for individual users (C-end) and VIP off-peak reservations for business clients (B-end), effectively activating underutilised urban parking resources.

Adaptive to Extreme Conditions: The A01 boasts a waterproof and dustproof body capable of withstanding heavy rain. It automatically locks when water exceeds the safety threshold, thus lowering the risk of flooding. Besides, it lasts up to six months across a wide temperature range of -20°C to 65°C.

Project Innovation/Need

Traditional parking management relies on geomagnetic sensors or camera poles, which often suffer from low recognition rates, inability to prevent illegal space occupation, and complex installation processes. The A01, however, brings macro parking management down to the single-space level and addresses these pain points through three key innovations:

Technology Integration: It pioneers a visual AI camera and dual-radar redundancy recognition solution, achieving a license plate recognition accuracy of 99.9% and a false barrier lift rate of less than 0.1%.

Scenario Expansion: With open APIs, the A01 supports integration with EV charging reservation systems and property management platforms, expanding its application to more scenarios, such as residential communities, commercial districts, and charging stations.

Economic Efficiency: Through personal shared parking models, the A01 empowers individual users to monetise their idle parking spaces. This helps clients gain additional income, reduces inefficient parking searches and disorderly parking behaviour, and significantly lowers labour costs for large-scale parking operators.

The A01 fills the gap in intelligent parking space management, offering an efficient and sustainable management solution for urban static vehicles.

Design Challenge

The A01 is crafted from high-strength and eco-friendly materials. It embraces a high-strength engineering plastic shell that is crush-resistant, using recycled materials to reduce the carbon footprint. The high cost of intelligent upgrades is often a sensitive issue for traditional parking operators, but A01 provides a cost-effective solution. It lowers the adoption barrier through features such as 30-minute wire-free installation, low-power automatic alerts, and self-recovery from anomalies.

With the fast development of new energy vehicles, demand for charging space management has surged. To meet this need, the A01 offers open APIs, dynamically adapting to various charging pile protocols and operational models.

Sustainability

The A01 embodies sustainability through multiple designs:
Recyclable Materials: The A01 is mainly crafted from recyclable materials, with the shell made from recycled engineering plastics and the base plate made from recyclable stainless steel.

Low-Carbon O&M: With its low-power design during standby mode and a battery life of up to six months, the A01 reduces the frequency of battery replacements. Its high-performance battery meets national mandatory standards for cycle life.

Economic Sustainability: By facilitating shared, reserved, and off-peak parking, the A01 enhances the utilisation rate of parking resources while reducing unnecessary energy consumption from searching for available spots. This contributes to carbon neutrality efforts.

High Compatibility: Open APIs promote collaboration within the parking ecosystem, preventing redundant development and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
