Project Brief

RED CHAMBER is committed to bringing organic life of becoming beautiful to all corners, so it integrates visuals, content output and products, focusing not only on the outside but also on inner beauty. The brand design combines philosophical inspiration with different visual elements to present the flow and diversity of the brand in an oriental and reserved way. Visually, RED CHAMBER has a unique aesthetic system that is incorporated with the brand's sustainable philosophy. Additionally, the appearance of the product embodies a sense of continuity in time to express its core concept of sustainable living.

Project Innovation/Need

All of the logo's lines and arcs are equally thick, and all arcs are composed of parts of positive circles. The arcs in "R", "D", "C", and "B" are all partial intercepts of equal thick positive circles. Unlike the conventional font design where thickness and curvature generally vary, RED CHAMBER is designed with equal thickness and positive curvature to highlight degendered. Each "body" is seen as an individual, a part of the world. The logo is also completed in one stroke with continuity, echoing the brand's sustainable philosophy. It hopes to provide consumers with the smoothest and most comfortable use experience.

Design Challenge

When RED CHAMBER was founded, not much was known about the concept of clean makeup in China. How to improve consumers' understanding of clean makeup is the biggest challenge for the brand. In addition to ingredients, the brand's choice of packaging materials focuses on the safety of contact, touch feel, opening and closing experience and process quality. Its quality control exceeds the universal market-based standards, and the process details adopt the same standard of international brands, so that each product can be quality assured. Ultimately, RED CHAMBER proves the brand's persistence to consumers through its external visual design and internal product quality.

User Experience

RED CHAMBER’s is made of FSC certified paper which is traceable and biodegradable. For printing, soy ink is used instead of traditional ink to enhance degradation. The use of honeycomb paper in courier boxes reduces waste and pollution. Besides, RED CHAMBER insists on "zero cruelty", refuses to do animal experiments, and is determined not to sacrifice any life for beauty. All the ingredients are of plant origin or synthetic, animal friendly and respectful of life and nature.




This award celebrates creative and innovative design for branded experiences intended to persuade an audience to purchase or take some action upon products, ideas or services.
