Project Brief
This project pushes the boundaries of conventional residential design by turning a personal home into an expressive social stage. Drawing inspiration from nightlife and theatrical aesthetics, the residence becomes a canvas for entertainment, self-expression, and contemporary luxury.
From the soaring living room anchored by a dramatic stone fireplace to the panoramic skyline views and mood-lit master suite, every corner is crafted to amplify experience, emotion, and presence. It's not just a home — it’s a curated experience, perfectly aligned with the dynamic and socially active lifestyle of its young owner.
Project Need
The project introduces a new genre of second-home design by focusing on immersive, experience-driven spatial storytelling. Instead of following traditional luxury cues, it combines high-end hospitality elements with personal expression, offering a hybrid environment that’s equal parts private retreat and social performance space. This approach caters to a new generation of homeowners who prioritise bold aesthetics, multifunctionality, and lifestyle integration.
Design Challenge
One of the key challenges was achieving a balance between theatrical immersion and residential comfort. This meant working with deep, moody palettes without sacrificing warmth or livability. Additionally, crafting bespoke elements like the fireplace and bar lounge required high precision and coordination across disciplines to maintain design integrity and construction quality within the set timeline.
Sustainability
Sustainability was addressed through the use of durable, long-life materials like natural stone, wood veneer, and metal finishes, which reduce the need for replacement and maintenance. Thoughtful lighting strategies, including layered ambient systems, contribute to energy efficiency while enhancing the emotional texture of the space. The residence exemplifies sustainability through longevity, adaptability, and functional relevance to a modern, evolving lifestyle.
