Project Overview

Dthree Studio redesigned the company’s existing office into a flagship space that balances emotional resonance with functional excellence. Every square foot is considered, every detail intentional.

Through a careful interplay of organic textures, expressive brand cues, advanced technology, and holistically integrated sustainability, the space champions collaboration, wellbeing, and innovation. A seamless blend of comfort and progressiveness, it sets a new benchmark for how brand identity and workplace experience can coexist.

It’s not just an office - it’s a living expression of Trustpilot’s purpose, designed to grow and evolve with the business.

Project Brief

When Trustpilot began exploring a new office, the assumption was that relocation was necessary. Dthree Studio challenged this and persuaded Trustpilot to instead remain and reimagine the workspace and its narrative. This pivot became the springboard for a deeply collaborative, strategically driven design process that put people, brand, and purpose at its core. The result is a bold, vibrant environment that mirrors the company’s mission to inspire and provide trust and transparency in the digital age.

The brief extended far beyond aesthetics. The space had to perform functionally at the highest level while emotionally connecting with their "Trusties". The goal was not only to reflect Trustpilot’s brand values, but to bring them to life through openness, meaningful storytelling, and multi-sensory engagement.

Far from a conventional workplace, this is a space designed to connect people, energise collaboration, and celebrate the customer voice. Every corner speaks to Trustpilot’s identity, from vibrant mural installations and bold brand accents to a central kitchen that anchors and connects the space as a communal heart.

Through immersive design and smart use of space, the result is a workplace that feels as much like a home as it does a high-performing hub for collaboration and creativity.

Project Innovation/Need

Dthree Studio’s most innovative move was to challenge the very need for relocation, proving that reinvention can be more impactful - and sustainable -than replacement. This created an opportunity to push boundaries without environmental or financial waste.

Key to the innovation throughout the design scheme is the “The Star is the Hero” concept - Trustpilot’s iconic star, glowing throughout the office, acts as both a literal and symbolic beacon of excellence. Synonymous with customer trust and reviews, the star has been transformed into a unifying architectural and experiential motif. It glows subtly across the office: carved into joinery, embedded in lighting, and echoed in spatial lines. It is both a wayfinding tool and a symbolic reminder of the company’s mission to spotlight truth and integrity.

Technology is interwoven seamlessly, rather than added as an afterthought. In the reception, advanced AV systems blend into natural textures, while LED screens throughout the office display live customer reviews and Trustpilot scores, transforming feedback into an ever-evolving brand touchpoint. This not only reinforces Trustpilot’s commitment to transparency and accountability but also serves as a daily reminder of the company’s purpose, energising and motivating Trusties by connecting their work directly to real-world impact. Even the traditionally static boardroom has been radically reimagined into a flexible hub for training, celebration, and ideation.

This forward-thinking approach redefines what a workplace can be: not just a site of work, but a real-time, evolving extension of brand and culture.

Design Challenge

The challenge wasn’t just physical - it was psychological. Convincing stakeholders to invest in their existing premises required not only vision but proof that transformation was the right move for the business. Dthree Studio had to craft a new narrative for the workplace - one that addressed the emotional, practical, and cultural needs of the company and its Trusties.

Design challenges ranged from integrating high-performance technology into a warm, organic setting to reimagining the boardroom as a multifunctional destination. Every element needed to serve both brand storytelling and daily operations without compromise. The team achieved this by curating materials, layouts, and lighting schemes that could adapt in tone and energy throughout the day, delivering a solution as versatile as it is visually striking.

By overcoming both logistical and perceptual barriers, Dthree Studio didn’t just solve a design problem; they shifted mindsets, demonstrating that with the right vision, even the most limiting conditions can become the foundation for transformative, business-defining change.

Sustainability

Sustainability wasn’t an afterthought - it was the foundation. The project followed a dual approach: reuse wherever possible, and invest in quality where new was needed. Existing furniture was repurposed and complemented with durable, ethically sourced additions, ensuring longevity and environmental responsibility.

Natural materials like handcrafted timber and a rich orange marble backdrop bring warmth and texture while minimising carbon impact. The central kitchen and Trustie Snack Corner reduce reliance on external resources, reinforcing wellbeing and efficiency.

Lighting was also chosen with sustainability in mind. Integrated lighting solutions highlight the natural finishes and organic textures while prioritising energy efficiency. Each fixture was carefully selected to deliver optimal performance and minimise energy consumption, reflecting Trustpilot’s commitment to innovation and ecological responsibility.

Perhaps most importantly, choosing to reimagine rather than relocate dramatically minimised the project’s environmental footprint.

Trustpilot’s office stands as a powerful example of how sustainability can create not only a greener future but also a more meaningful, human-centred experience.
