Project Brief
The brief for Media Plus was to create a brand that felt separate to our existing tomorrow agency brand. We wanted the business to feel stand alone and unique because that is how it is operated.
There was a desire to develop a brand that felt strong, professional and timeless, to appeal to the high end property developer clients we were looking to reach. Our brand needed to embody the same feel as theirs to clearly demonstrate an alignment of ideologies that would be beneficial when we would work together.
Project Innovation/Need
Media can be a little dry as a subject. Sure, you can be super creative with your media strategy or media buy, but ultimately everything comes down to numbers. Enquiry numbers. Registration numbers. Clicks. Impressions.
We're big on numbers, but we didn't want our brand to be entirely built on that foundation. Instead we opted to bring a more personal, human centred approach to media.
We did this by placing our team at the forefront of the brand. This helped to humanise the business and place focus on building relationships in order to help our clients get the best possible results.
Design Challenge
There's nothing harder than designing for yourself. Nothing's ever quite right. Everything can be improved upon. No opinions line up. It always gets pushed back in favour of paid work.
It took a conscious effort by management to realise they needed to take a step back and look at the brand in a more objective manner, rather than as their baby. Once we adopted that mindset, everything moved along far more efficiently.
Effectiveness
Speaking from first hand experience, the new Media Plus branding has been a great success. The division has grown year on year within our business, with only our friend COVID-19 slowing us down.
We have seen excellent brand awareness within prospective customers within the industry and feel that the brand has opened new doors that may have otherwise remained closed.
