Project Overview

Foresta, formerly known as Leaf Resources, is committed to environmental sustainability and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. They are dedicated to manufacturing and supplying two key biomass products, wood pellets and pine chemicals.

Embracing a vision of a greener future, Foresta enlisted the expertise of Davidson to deliver a renewed brand identity. Through this collaboration, Foresta endeavored to revitalise its image, embodying its commitment to the environment and innovation.

By rebranding, Foresta aims to amplify its message of environmental consciousness and sustainable practices, resonating with stakeholders who share its values.

Project Brief

Davidson was engaged by Leaf Resources to create a holistic strategy incorporating research immersion, brand strategy, naming, and semiotics to deliver a completely new brand identity, Foresta.

This endeavor demanded a mixture of research immersion, brand strategy, naming, and semiotics. With precision and creativity, we meticulously crafted a cohesive brand identity that encapsulated the essence of Foresta's ethos and aspirations.

Following the brand identity, we completed the comprehensive Foresta brand style guide and subsequently brought it to life by designing and developing the Foresta website. The final touch involved the creation of a complete package of brand assets, including conference banners, presentation templates, and office signage.

Project Innovation/Need

We crafted Foresta’s brand identity with a unique logo featuring a circular symbol, representing sustainability.

The nature-inspired color palette, including sky blue and forest greens and browns, flows seamlessly into photography that highlights Foresta’s positive impact.

The chosen typeface is confident yet approachable, reflecting the company’s warm and optimistic tone. Overall, the branding emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and a strong connection to nature.

Design Challenge

The design challenge for Foresta centered on two key objectives: visually representing energy generation from wood and effectively narrating the unique story behind their energy.

To achieve this designs needed to integrate elements such as forest and wood imagery and energy symbols to convey the process of their energy production.

We also had to communicate the transition from Leaf Resources to Foresta. It was important to showcase the innovation and sustainability of Foresta's energy production but also capture its broader environmental impact and evolution.


Leaf Resources has equipped itself with the necessary engagement tools to introduce Foresta to both the Australian Government and Global Sustainability Committees as a viable Renewable Energy Solution. This not only positions Foresta as an innovative player in the renewable energy sector but also underscores its potential to drive significant environmental impact.

With these tools in hand, Foresta can confidently pursue additional investment opportunities to further bolster Foresta's development and expand its reach.
