Rambla is short-term rental accommodation by Pellicano Living, defined by its fresh take on the comforts of home, modern tech, excellent amenities, and urban connectivity. For short stays of all kinds, Rambla is a home away from home with access to all the local goings-on. Whether it’s to rest and recharge, feed the travel bug, be online for work, or to serve as a home base during corporate stays, Rambla is an appealing, welcoming option.

The Rambla audience is looking for somewhere comfortable. Where a sense of belonging meets hybridity, enriched by high-quality service and amenity. PLAYGROUND was tasked with naming and building a brand identity that would cut through the sameness of corporate rental apartments and communicate Rambla’s adventurous nature.

Project Innovation/Need

Regardless of why people are travelling, they want to experience more of everything and immerse themselves in their new neighbourhood by eating, drinking, visiting and shopping as the locals do. Using an edgy, inviting tone of voice, Rambla encourages guests to go further, stay longer, and explore more. The look and feel is fresh and modern. Its typography, pastel colour palette and unique illustrations reflects the brand’s aspirational quality, and the enriched experience that Rambla offers.

Design Challenge

Rambla’s audience seeks accommodation with all the conveniences of a hotel, without the hotel feel. They want creativity, innovation, and connection with the surrounding area. Our challenge was to show exactly that, differentiating Rambla from the competition, and infusing the brand identity with an on-the-move, adventurous energy.


Ramba’s brand is laid back, fresh and contemporary. It’s designed to entice the audience and invite them to stay, explore and take advantage of a home-away-from-home that caters exactly to their needs. The art direction and photography speak to this perfectly – the bright citrus yellow feels youthful and fresh, while the modern streetscape imagery captures the energy and vibrancy of Rambla locations. The accompanying illustrations further amplify the energetic, welcoming essence of the brand.

This award celebrates creative and innovative design in the traditional or digital visual representation of ideas and messages. Consideration given to clarity of communication and the matching information style to audience.
