Project Brief
We were approached to identify a comprehensive brand identity that captures the essence of Rombe's new restaurant, café, and wedding venue. We developed a strategy to encompass Rombe's modern elegance and rustic Art Deco charm, ensuring that every aspect of the brand reflects its commitment to exceptional and romantic experiences.
Naming the brand 'Rombe' was a pivotal part of the project. The challenge was to find a name that captured the rooftop vibes and sophisticated ambience while resonating with the romantic and indulgent experiences Rombe offers. 'Rombe,' derived from the French word for 'fall,' perfectly reflects the concept of falling in love and discovering the unknown, embodying the brand's essence.
Our work also included crafting bespoke packaging that reflects Rombe’s sophisticated brand identity. This includes elegant and functional designs for baked goods, ensuring the brand's aesthetic is consistently represented across all physical products.
We designed and developed a user-friendly website that effectively communicates Rombe's brand story and offerings while featuring stunning visuals and an engaging user experience. It serves as the primary digital touchpoint for customers, providing easy access to bookings, event planning, and menu details.
Additionally, we developed distinctive signage for Rombe, incorporating the brand’s visual elements to ensure high visibility and aesthetic appeal. The signage complements the overall design of the venue, enhancing the customer experience from the moment they arrive.
Every touchpoint, from the branding to the packaging and signage, reflects Rombe’s unique blend of romance and elegance ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
Project Innovation/Need
The Rombe space isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience suitable for dining, events and weddings. As well as creating a name that captured the essence of the venue's unique offerings, we also strived for distinctive signage that incorporates Rombe's visual identity, ensuring high visibility and aesthetic appeal to attract and guide guests effectively.
These innovations were crucial in establishing Rombe as a standout destination while aligning its offerings with a cohesive and compelling brand identity.
Design Challenge
Creating the perfect name for Rombe was a challenge. It had to encapsulate the unique rooftop feel while showcasing the exceptional experience of a restaurant, café, and wedding venue.
After thorough research and envisioning, Rombe was born. Pronounced ‘Rom - bay’ the name elicits a sense of mystery as it relays. The word is derived from the French language and loosely translates to ‘fall’, an action one takes in love and the unknown.
‘Rom’ is inspired by ‘romance’, further supporting this brand story and emphasising our commitment to crafting moments of love and delight in every aspect.
Central to our strategy was developing a connection around love and the rose icon, a symbol of romance and beauty. The sunset and sunrise colours were thoughtfully chosen to reflect the venue's ambience and the magic of special moments. Illustrations, such as the clinking of two glasses, further emphasise celebration and togetherness, reinforcing the romantic and celebratory essence of Rombe.
Whether celebrated, wedded, danced with or served, Rombe sets the foundation of a loving experience from the food and drink to the rooftop ambience, vows spoken and the people who join us, customers will fall into an indulgent experience that lives long in the mind.
Effectiveness
Our work on the Rombe project has successfully established a strong brand identity across dining, events, and weddings, with many repeat diners, multiple successful events, and already 1 beautiful wedding since launching in March 2024.
On social media, our engaging content strategies have amplified Rombe's visibility and engagement. By showcasing its unique offerings and fostering community interaction, we've attracted a growing audience and encouraged repeat visits, cementing Rombe's success in the market.
