Project Overview
This lovely abode belongs to a family of four, comprised of a physician, his spouse, and their two lovely daughters. With the addition of their new bundle of joy, the couple realized that their previous dwelling no longer met their needs. Limited space and inadequate illumination simply would not suffice. Thus, they embarked on a quest to find a new home that would offer ample proportions and exceptional lighting. After much searching, they finally stumbled upon a gem that fits the bill perfectly. The only drawback was the overwhelming number of rooms, making the layout quite complex. The family's goal, therefore, was to enhance the spatial flow and air circulation, providing them with comfortable and commodious living quarters.

Project Brief
During the planning process for the shared living area, the team made deliberate changes to enhance the range of family activities. One of the bedrooms was eliminated and incorporated into the common space, increasing the size of the area and creating more opportunities for quality time together. Additionally, the open-plan layout seamlessly integrates the living room, dining, and kitchen areas, fostering frequent interactions and reinforcing emotional ties.
Project Innovation/Need
In the private living spaces, the team gave priority to the hostess's storage requirements by providing a spacious dressing room. The bathroom is conveniently connected to the dressing room, facilitating seamless movement. The bathroom is designed as a four-piece unit, offering a unique bathing experience while enjoying a picturesque view from the window. The design of each room is meticulously crafted to provide an awe-inspiring visual experience of the surrounding landscape. By incorporating external windows, families can bask in the natural ambiance of radiant sunshine, blue skies, and serene river views, all from the comfort of their own abode.
Design Challenge
Moreover, the building materials have been thoughtfully selected to augment the natural light emanating from the windows, with delicately processed wood grain boards and stone texture tiles lending a rustic yet modern appeal to the space. To further enhance the organic feel, earth tones form the foundation of the color palette, while the inclusion of pine green and rose gold accents adds a touch of refinement and airiness to the overall aesthetic.
Sustainability
To combat the issue of high indoor temperatures caused by direct sunlight, the skilled team in charge of river-view homes has implemented a series of upgrades to the windows. In lieu of traditional glass material, they have opted for ceramic nano-materials that offer superior insulation against ultraviolet rays, effectively blocking heat and reducing outdoor noise. This innovative upgrade not only curtails the need for air conditioning but also safeguards children and home appliances from potential damage caused by overheating and direct UV exposure. Furthermore, this eco-friendly design promotes "Habitat Health", "Eco-Health", "Human Health", and "Earth Sustainability" by creating a space that not only benefits the environment but also those who inhabit it.
