Project Brief

In addition to providing luxurious comfort, this residence has been designed to meet the diverse needs of their social lifestyle. With meticulous attention to detail and a focus on urban sophistication, this residence is a true testament to the seamless fusion of form and function. The team chose an open design with high ceilings in the shared living area to create a spacious environment for social activities. Each area is divided using different materials, resulting in a bright and independent visual appearance.

Project Need

Removable sliding doors are installed as partitions in public areas, allowing visitors to have separate private spaces when needed. This creates flexible and diverse possibilities for the use of the space. Regarding the adornment aspect, our team initially utilized a serene and warm wooden grille and the luxurious texture of marble as the foundation. Subsequently, we incorporated various trendy and vibrant hues such as bright gold, warm orange, and refreshing green as embellishing elements.

Design Challenge

This seamless combination of the timeless background and the lively elements harmonizes exquisitely, and when combined with the artwork, creates an alluring and diverse spatial experience, akin to a feast for the senses. Throughout the past several decades, environmental protection has become a paramount global movement, with an increasing emphasis placed on the implementation of eco-friendly approaches within spatial design. In the realm of residential design, a particular team has chosen to employ an indirect approach towards minimizing resource consumption.

Sustainability

This approach centers around the utilization of natural lighting, which has been achieved through the incorporation of external windows and an open design. By doing so, the need for artificial lighting during daytime hours has been significantly reduced, thus contributing to a more energy-efficient and carbon-reducing environment. Such an approach is indicative of the team's commitment to promoting sustainable practices within their work.

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
