Project Overview
The team responsible for the residential interior design project has taken note of the increasing popularity of modern minimalist styles. The team’s objective is to create designs that breaks away from the uniformity of this trend, while still providing residents with a sense of novelty and fulfilling their daily needs. To achieve this goal, the team has incorporated elements of a "stage" and the "arc of a ship's bottom" into the space, resulting in unique design features that are dramatic and captivating.

Project Brief
Furthermore, to cater to the preferences of the homeowner's family, the lower floor of the house is planned as a shared living area, while the upper floor is designated as the bedrooms and children's playroom, dividing the common space from the private space to meet the spatial requirements of every family member. The living room boasts a distinct design featuring a "stage" extending from the TV wall to the ceiling. Also, the vertical and horizontal components are superimposed to create a captivating play of light and shadows reminiscent of a theatrical setting. This design offers a spatial perception that is stationary and lively, with a contrast of light and dark that evokes emotion and expansiveness. Besides, the designer’s clever use of indirect lighting adds to the immersive effect, while the layered ceiling conceals the air-conditioner and eliminates the unpleasant sensation of bulky beams.
Project Need
On the other hand, the kitchen is adorned with a vibrant peach-red color scheme that symbolizes joy and passion, reminiscent of the lively Spanish dancers. The team has thoughtfully chosen this color to bless the owners and their guests, hoping their presence will fill the space with laughter and happiness. The ceiling design is inspired by the shape of a boat's curved silhouette, which creates a smooth and seamless look while maximizing the height of the room. This design subtly suggests that the home is a welcoming and comfortable place for people to unwind and take a break.
Design Challenge
Moreover, the layout of the private space has been modified by the team to effectively tackle the issue of limited storage space in the master bedroom. In addition to this, a separate play area has been thoughtfully crafted for the kids, ultimately catering to the specific needs and desires of the homeowner's family. The overall interior space's design is customized to cater to family members’ preferences and functional needs, strongly emphasizing environmental protection and sustainable development. The main area features external windows that allow natural light to pass through, reducing the consumption of electricity for lighting during the day.
Sustainability
Energy-saving LED lighting is also installed to conserve energy and minimize carbon emissions. Sustainable and environmentally friendly wood, along with low VOC paints, are used to further reduce environmental impact. The result is a beautiful, comfortable, and environmentally responsible living space that promotes sustainable development for future generations.
