Project Overview
This project marks the first time TWENTY Interior and TIAN Design Office have worked without a client, allowing us to follow our own preferences, budget, and timeline. Designed personally by our Design Director, Tian, and executed by our CEO and builder, Leo, this new office space reflects our company’s vision and creativity.
Organisation
TIAN DESIGN PLUS ART + TWENTY INTERIOR
Project Brief
Despite being a self-initiated project, this has been our most revised commercial design in terms of layout. After multiple meetings discussing our daily workflow and the brand image we want to present to clients, we established the theme of a "serious yet lively space." The office's primary color is black, creating a serious atmosphere for the employees' workspace. However, throughout the space, we have infused vibrant elements like colorful carpets, artistic furniture, a fish tank, and various murals and art installations designed by Tian. The meeting room is designed to be both functional and inspiring, with unique furniture and patterns along the walls. This blend of seriousness and playfulness showcases TWENTY Interior and TIAN Design's passion and creativity.
The design reflects our commitment to professionalism melded with our playful personalities, achieving a harmonious balance that engages and inspires. By blending practicality with creativity, we have crafted a unique office space that meets functional needs while inspiring both employees and clients.
Project Innovation/Need
Unlike typical office designs that often emphasize a professional, industrial, or modern style, our office aims to make a strong statement about our creativity and attention to detail. The design does not adhere to the conventional serious feel but instead highlights the distinctive TWENTY and TIAN style, transforming our office into our own gallery. This novel approach allows clients to experience firsthand our innovative and detailed design capabilities.
Design Challenge
The central focus of the design was treating the office as a blank canvas for artistic creation. The biggest challenge lay in the selection and arrangement of furniture, the height and angle of lighting fixtures, the content and colour of the artwork, and even the fish tank setup. Each element is rich in artistic detail, making the overall design both cohesive and dynamic.
Sustainability
In consideration of environmental factors, the primary materials used in the office are timber and natural marble. This choice reflects our commitment to sustainability through the use of eco-friendly materials.
