Project Brief

Alvaro is a leading family-owned luxury builder with a 50-year legacy rooted in Italian craftsmanship and a reputation for creating timeless, inspiring homes.

As Alvaro entered a new phase of growth, they were ready to elevate their brand to match the enduring quality of their work. With plans to take on larger, higher-value projects and deepen relationships with architects, designers and high-end clients, they needed a brand strategy and identity that reflected their heritage, precision and forward-thinking design philosophy.

Project Innovation/Need

In a market filled with generic claims of quality and detail, we set out to uncover what truly sets Alvaro apart. At the heart of the brand is a story of generational expertise, a commitment to excellence, and a belief that homes should be both deeply personal and timeless. This narrative formed the foundation for a new identity, capturing the richness of Alvaro’s craftsmanship and vision, positioning them not just as builders but as creators of lasting legacies.

The new brandmark and supporting graphic system draw on heritage cues through a contemporary lens. Patterns, colours and imagery build a rich visual language representing Alvaro’s work - deeply personal spaces, built for a lifetime.

The crafted logotype carries an elegant confidence, balancing tradition with contemporary refinement. The mason’s mark graphic expresses the idea that the home is the jewel of the family, with the interlocking shapes reflecting the core of the Alvaro philosophy: collaboration, craft and passion. Intersecting graphic elements form layered patterns, symbolising the thoughtful integration of interior and exterior spaces.

Design Challenge

The challenge lay in honouring Alvaro’s legacy while bringing the brand into the present, and ensuring it felt relevant to today’s discerning clients and design professionals.

The visual language needed to carry the weight of 50 years of craftsmanship, yet feel contemporary and distinctive in a competitive, design-led category. We had to strike a delicate balance, respecting tradition without feeling outdated, and showing modernity without sacrificing authenticity.

The new identity honours tradition while embracing the contemporary, helping the business stand apart in a competitive market.
