Project Overview
Upon getting into the residence, the names of the four family members come into view, thus beginning the warmth of a home. The design is inspired by the female homeowner’s wish to have the family gather and interact in the living-dining room, and to take parent-child interaction into account when cooking in the kitchen.

Project Brief
The color scheme is dominated by an elegant beige white tie in harmoniously with natural wood veins. The open-concept kitchen connected with the dining room not merely makes the common area enjoy natural light from both sides and look open, but blurs the boundaries between spaces as well. In this way, the space where the family spend time together is visually expanded, and family interaction is perfectly redefined. The desk close to the balcony also allows the family to have a nook to themselves while engaging in their own work at the same time.
Project Need
Panels of beige lines serve to make the main cabinetry vertically stretched, and, paired with mellow hardwood, create a warm vibe in the space. The open-concept living-dining room ushers in natural light, while the metal top of the island adds a techy touch. Aside from meeting storage needs and practical functionality, a designer’s touch is also injected into the space for its dwellers, so that aesthetic simplicity and naturalness get to enrich their ordinary lives.
The master bedroom is a combination of diverse beige materials that present an elegant refreshing space. Mirrors visually enlarge the boy’s and the girl’s rooms, which are each complete, separate and simple.
Design Challenge
It takes not only design expertise but thoughtfulness to transform a 30-year-old dim residence of 80 square meters with poor flow and functionality into a space full of vitality and embodying perfect quality of life.
Sustainability
In addition to selecting healthful green materials, technology and smart design are integrated into the indoor lighting. By means of IoT, optical, electrical or cyber control can be employed for the lighting to be energy efficient and reduce carbon footprints, while fully meeting the expectation for a convenient life as well.
