The Airwheel SE3S miniT electric smart suitcase is an innovative solution that surpasses the limitations of traditional suitcases by providing more than just storage. With its portable power supply, this suitcase offers a creative ride&go function, effectively addressing the problem of physical energy consumption over the 'last three miles'. Of note is the design of the suitcase handle with an intuitive stretching mechanism, and the user can simply sit on the suitcase and drive it with ease, making it a convenient and efficient choice for business trips, travel, shopping, and other scenarios.

Project Brief

This electric smart ride-and-go suitcase was designed based on a thorough understanding of the challenges associated with short-distance travel, particularly the "last three kilometers" problem, and a comprehensive assessment of the travel requirements for various age groups. With the rapid pace of urbanization, individuals frequently encounter difficulties in transportation connections and physical strain during short-distance mobility, particularly in the contexts of business travel, leisure tourism, and daily travel for older people. Consequently, this product substantially mitigates travelers' fatigue by seamlessly integrating the features of electric ride-and-go and traditional suitcases. Moreover, it enhances independent and convenient travel for older people, broadening their social engagement opportunities.

Project Innovation/Need

The electric smart ride-and-go suitcase represents a significant innovation by seamlessly integrating traditional storage features with a cutting-edge mobility design powered by a portable power supply. This revolutionary approach maintains the ease of carrying a typical suitcase while incorporating the capability to reach moving speeds of up to 13 km/h. This effectively addresses the challenge of physical exertion during the "last three kilometres" of travel. The suitcase is equipped with two sets of USB charging ports, providing reliable charging functionality and eliminating concerns about power availability for users. It truly realizes multi-purpose use and significantly reduces the user's burden of travelling. With volume within the 20-inch boarding box standard, the suitcase eliminates the need for luggage check-in, offering convenience and efficiency.
Unlike conventional products, the product features an intuitive quick-stretching handle design, providing a seamless ride-and-go experience. By incorporating turnbuckles on the left and right sides of the handle, corresponding to forward and brake functions, the design allows intuitive control of both forward and backward movements, allowing users to quickly grasp the key features through this simple interactive design. Additionally, the product features a proprietary intelligent app offering cruise control, Bluetooth disconnection alerts, search functionality, and customizable route programming, thereby establishing a comprehensive service ecosystem. The product design features a linear LED breathing light full of technological sense and a harmonious colour scheme, showcasing quality product styling.

Design Challenge

The primary design challenge for this project revolves around ensuring rider safety. To address this, the wheels have been thoughtfully widened to enhance driving stability, thus reducing the risk of rollovers, making it particularly suitable in busy outdoor settings such as airports and railway stations. Complemented by integrated pedals, the product is not only visually appealing but also further optimized for stability and comfort during riding. The patented suitcase frame, constructed from a 6-series high-strength aluminium alloy with a load capacity of 110kg, ensures the product's applicability for diverse road conditions and user groups. Furthermore, the TSA customs lock design prevents unauthorized access during customs inspections, ensuring safety and peace of mind.

Sustainability

This innovative product amalgamates storage, mobility, charging, and other functionalities, thereby reducing the necessity for multiple independent products and effectively mitigating excessive resource consumption and environmental impact. Additionally, its modular plug-and-play lithium battery design facilitates easy disassembly and reassembly without the need for tools, ensuring smooth recyclability at the end of its lifespan. This approach supports sustainable resource recycling and aligns with the principles of environmental conservation.
