Project Brief

Taking into account the balance between public and private, as well as the integration of lifestyle and multiple scenes, after sorting out the route design and layout, the first floor and underground space are used as a public leisure area, and the second floor to the fourth floor is used as a private living area, and leave room for change for future variability. Open the space as much as possible, eliminate the sense of boundary between areas, and enhance the fluency of the route design with a transparent open space, so that residents can have more places to stay, talk, and see in the space. From the garage into the ground floor, the skylight brings soft natural light into the interior, and optical interaction with the green plants in the corner, making the whole space more breathing. The soft sofa encloses a quiet sitting area, opposite the tea area where the host spends most of his time. Large area art paint combined with the use of wood elements to render a natural and rustic atmosphere, but also maintain the harmony and unity of the entire space. Here, time seems to slow down, meditate, or drink tea to empty, let people immerse in the peace of the moment.

Project Need

In the design of the living room on the first floor, in addition to taking into account the functional needs and the aesthetics of the space form, the designer is more concerned about whether the warm power brought by natural light can be felt when walking, sitting, or standing. By replacing the lattice Windows in the original structure with floor-to-ceiling Windows, the distance between the indoor and outdoor gardens was reduced. Adopting an open layout, the living room, study, and dining room are integrated to form a more smooth and open space and also promote communication and interaction between family members. Light pours in from the top window, enhancing the brightness and level of the staircase area. Each step is like a beating note, and the transparent texture of the glass handrails infuses the whole design with a sense of lightness and modernity. When night falls, the lights at the corner of the stairs are like opening the prelude to the ceremony of returning home.

Design Challenge

Today's residential design is oriented towards everyday needs. When building a comfortable residence, it also reflects the lifestyle from the space scene, so that every inhabitant can feel goodliness from it. The designer did not divide the space but used color, texture, furniture, light, etc. as a guide to divide the living room, dining room, kitchen, and the entry of the first floor. A dining area that blends Eastern and Western lifestyles is a must for large families. The rectangular dining table is attached to the island and is the home arena for family life and social gatherings. Each bedroom is a perfect blend of light, function, and beauty. Cleverly maximizes the use of space, one side of the wardrobe to meet the needs of life storage, but also presents a simple and clean design sense. The master bedroom suite is arranged separately on the third floor, and the whole space is dominated by simple elegant colors, and the light is freely poured into the room, and the atmosphere of freedom and openness is spread out. With the choice and use of materials, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the occupants, the designer expresses the privacy and sense of belonging of the master bedroom one by one with detailed and subtle strokes, creating a physical space exclusive to the host and hostess.
