Project Brief

In contemporary society, continuous improvement in child-rearing practice and increasing attention to children’s healthy development result in higher standards and expectations for the design and production of baby products; parents not only prioritize the basic function, but also focus more on the safety, and comfort, and ability to satisfy the special needs of babies during growth. Considering that this bottle, taking into account babies’ sucking habits, offers a familiar and safe experience through food-grade silicone commonly used for nipples and a unique frosted surface, which effectively makes babies less reluctant to use it. Its innovative bifurcated water outlet reflects a deep understanding of babies’ swallowing habits, and well prevents them from choking caused by high flow rate, ensuring their safety during water drinking.

Project Innovation/Need

This bottle is designed with comfort, safety and hygiene in mind.
It utilizes a frosted duckbill structure made of 20 Shore A silicone, which features the same texture as nipples, bringing babies a familiar experience as if sucking on nipples to lower their reluctance to change drinking equipment. The unique 8-shaped bifurcated outlet gently splits water to avoid the direct impact on the mouth. This significantly reduces the risk of choking, safeguarding babies when they drink water.
Considering the needs of teething babies, the specially designed bite-resistant duckbill structure supports normal use even after up to 8000 times of bites, ensuring long-term stability and safety. Besides, the bottle body adopts PPSU with high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, which can maintain its shape even during repeated boiling disinfection. Such a design, coupled with an easy-to-clean large mouth fully meets the daily household demands for hygiene.
Additionally, the built-in ceramic gravity ball enables babies, regardless of their postures, to easily suck water; it also prevents corrosion problems that may occur in metal materials, further ensuring hygiene and health.

Design Challenge

The biggest challenge lies in how to satisfy the psychological and physical needs of babies.
The design team, delving into babies’ behaviors and psychological changes during the transition from feeding bottles to normal bottles, has found that a familiar experience is essential to reduce their reluctance. Therefore, this product combines 20 Shore A silicone and a frosted surface to provide babies with an experience closer to breastfeeding or bottle feeding. This helps babies accept this bottle psychologically, and easily adapt to the new way to drink water.
Considering that teething babies frequently bite their surrounding items, the team has deliberately utilized a more durable duckbill structure to ensure it can normally work even after repeated bites, which meets the needs of teething babies and enhances the product’s long-term value in use.

Sustainability

This product can flexibly act as a sippy bottle or a straw bottle through simple accessory replacement, perfectly satisfying the needs of babies at different growth stages. This lowers the purchase cost for additional drinking equipment, and reduces waste of resources, aligning well with the concept of sustainable development.
Laser printing technology is applied to the brand logo on the bottle body, which avoids the use of traditional ink and will not release harmful substances during long-term use, ensuring safety and alleviating environmental pollution.
