From New York's Rockefeller Center to Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the height of a building opens up not only the dimensions of the city, but also the mind to touch the future and open up the possibilities of dreams. "There are two kinds of elegance, one contained in history and one that creates the ultimate." Standing at a height of 350 meters above Shenzhen Bay, SIC Skyline Parlor focuses global attention on the skyline, where the whole world and the sky are within reach, and a more internationalized way of socializing unfolds here.

Project Brief
Creating a new high-end social scene in the clouds of the sky - EGD DESIGN hopes to give this world-class coastal living room more possibilities beyond the product attributes and customize a private and elegant social venue for the top circles in the city. Elegance is an eternal theme, and each era will have its own interpretation, the ultimate in elegance is the freedom of the spirit to present, freedom belongs to the most profound human needs.
Boundlessness, i.e. freedom, space is logical and morphological, and the deliberate blurring of these properties of space is intended to produce a particular sense of freedom while aiming to explore alternative boundaries of perception. Freedom is the need for balance, so we chose to use quiet to balance the relationship between freedom and white space created by the sense of quiet, silent but strong, if anything, to guide people to perceive the scene just the right stretch. Parlor is aggregation and communication, collision and diversity, based on this, human-centered rational design strategy throughout the design, led by the emotional link between the space and people, people in which diverse feelings into the space.
Designed to express the control of desire, it is a dialog between the aesthetics of restrainedism and space, allowing space to be presented more purely to the outside world, and using the least amount of design to give the space unlimited imagination, thus causing emotional resonance and bringing about a beautiful feeling that touches the bottom of the heart.
Project Innovation/Need
Aesthetics more often rely on visual and emotional attraction, rather than a specific style, using nature to awaken art, using art to decorate nature, the sense of the picture sublimated into storytelling, art is no longer just visual enjoyment, but also the soul of the call. Simple colors, sharp lines, and fuzzy boundaries, all present an ultimate experience from the senses to the spirit, without formality or being defined, only rational and pure modernism, interpreting the understanding of elegance in this era. There is no doubt that Shenzhen belongs to the future, and extreme beauty should not just reflect the present scene, but more so the future scene. We live in a created world, and the only proof that we ever existed is re-creation.
Design Challenge
Challenge: Choosing appropriate style and decorations can enhance the atmosphere and visual appeal of a space, but it's important to consider how to coordinate different elements to avoid over-decoration or mismatched situations. Good lighting and ventilation are crucial factors in design, and it's important to consider how to achieve a comfortable environment through windows, lighting fixtures, and air conditioning systems.
Solution: Select a unified style or theme and ensure that various elements coordinate harmoniously. You can determine the direction of the style by collecting inspirational images or creating a design board. Maintain simplicity and consistency, avoiding too many decorations or style mismatches. Make full use of natural light and choose curtains or blinds that suit the windows to control light levels. When necessary, consider adding lighting fixtures to enhance overall brightness. Ensure good ventilation through windows or by installing air conditioning systems to regulate airflow.
Sustainability
Maximize the use of natural light by designing large windows and transparent curtains to reduce reliance on artificial lighting. Choose energy-efficient LED lighting systems that can adjust brightness and color temperature according to different scenarios. Select paints, coatings, and adhesives with low volatile organic compound (VOC) content to minimize indoor air pollution.
Interior Design - International Commercial
This award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
