The design's intention is to elevate the concept of "home" to a new level, where every family member can find their sense of belonging and happiness. The design philosophy integrates diverse social and leisure experiences, aiming to satisfy residents' dual enjoyment of home life and leisure entertainment, creating scenes for interaction with others. Here, it's not just a residence but a perfect blend of quality and diverse lifestyles. Pushing open the door, you are greeted by a meticulously designed foyer. The clever design of dual shoe cabinets meets the storage needs of the entire family while also serving as a shoe-changing bench. The foyer is not only the entrance to the home but also the starting point of happiness and daily life. The ultimate storage functionality of the modern kitchen ensures every corner is neatly organized. The smart design of overhead cabinets provides convenience and efficiency, while orderly placed cabinets neatly store kitchen utensils. Meanwhile, the coffee & western kitchen ambiance on the side adds endless enjoyment to cooking. Here, the homeowner can showcase their culinary talents and lifestyle preferences, creating healthy and delicious dishes and a warm, pleasant atmosphere for the family.

Project Brief

Stepping into the living room, the layout breaks away from tradition, expanding from a single to one-and-a-half possibilities. The L-shaped sofa design is ideal for both family leisure time and accommodating friends' visits effortlessly. Additionally, one side of the backrest is omitted for easy switching between the TV backdrop and bookshelf scenes. The sofa is crafted with premium leather patches, offering a delicate touch and a comfortable seating experience. The side cabinet features an overall presentation with high-grade mother-of-pearl lacquer, showcasing the quality and style of the home. The round dining table in the dining room symbolizes family reunion and harmony. The exquisite design of the dining sideboard creates a theme of "tea during the day and wine at night," transforming the dining room into a cozy corner for afternoon tea during the day and a romantic space for enjoying fine wine at night. The master bedroom is the female protagonist's private sanctuary. The suspended wardrobe design creates additional floor space, and when combined with the bedside table, forms a mini reading nook for her convenience. On the opposite side, there is a dressing table set, meeting her daily grooming needs. The secondary bedroom provides the male protagonist with a separate resting space, especially when returning home late from work, without disturbing the family. The garden terrace becomes an ideal place for him to unwind and enjoy personal time. Here, he can escape the hustle and bustle of work, contemplate, relax, and rejuvenate.

Project Innovation/Need

Inspired by the classic sci-fi adventure novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth," we have created a children's room named "Journey to the Center of the Earth." The walls of the room depict an imagined world at the center of the Earth, with floating clouds and animals, showcasing the unique curiosity and exploration of children at this age. The L-shaped integrated desk and cabinet combination also maximize space, allowing parents to accompany their children. We hope this space will inspire children's curiosity and exploration, becoming a place where dreams take flight. The hobby room is a space for children to explore the world and an important area for family interaction. It caters to both adults needing temporary office space and children's needs for study and play. The design includes desks and cushioned seating for children to read and play. Additionally, magazines and books that interest the female head of the household are displayed on the bookshelf, while the painting area on the terrace serves as her ideal relaxation spot. Children can freely unleash their creativity and imagination through painting on the terrace, while the female head of the household relaxes on a lounge chair, enjoying the sunlight.

Design Challenge

While maintaining aesthetic design and quality, controlling renovation costs is crucial. Choosing cost-effective, high-performance materials and decorations, considering their durability and maintenance costs, is essential. Innovate in layout, color schemes, and furniture selection to achieve a balance between cost reduction and design aesthetics. Meeting functional requirements while maintaining design aesthetics and style is also important. Through meticulous planning and design, ensure each functional area is logically laid out with attention to detail. Utilize modern technology facilities and smart home systems to enhance the functionality and appeal of model rooms, creating unique design concepts and decorative styles.

Sustainability

The space emphasizes the use of materials and sunlight, adopting a minimalist approach. Large areas of stone are employed, integrating sustainability principles by blending nature, materials, and space into one. Floor-to-ceiling glass panels invite sunlight indoors, aiming to achieve better green and energy-efficient outcomes, actively contributing to modern ecological civilization construction.

Interior Design - International Showroom or Flagship

This award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes and aesthetic presentation. Consideration given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
