Project Brief

Traditional pool cleaning methods rely largely on manual labour, needa high energy supply, and are complicated to operate. WYBOT S2 Solar is a next-generation intelligent cleaning system developed to address all above issues. It comprises three modules—a ground-based solar array, a smart underwater charging station, and the cleaning robot itself—together forming a closed-loop ecosystem of “energy harvesting-transfer-application”. Such a product is suitable for the intelligent maintenance of home pools, commercial water features, and public waters.

Project Innovation/Need

Solar Technology: WYBOT S2 Solar utilises solar energy to charge the underwater robot, providing a truly green pool-cleaning solution.
Underwater Charging Station: The product features the industry’s first underwater charging station. The robot can automatically dock itself to the station for charging when the battery is low while also maintaining seamless communication with ground control.

Intelligent Automation: The robot automatically starts and stops cleaning tasks based on the cleaning schedule set by the user, delivering unmatched convenience.

Easy Assembly & Operation: Adhering to user-friendliness, WYBOT S2 Solar is easy to assemble and operate without professional skills.

Design Challenge

The challenge was how to enable underwater charging. To address that, WYBOT S2 Solar employs an underwater charging station with a high-precision docking mechanism. This ensures that the robot can accurately dock itself to the station for charging in various underwater conditions. Meanwhile, cutting-edge energy conversion and transfer technology is adopted to facilitate efficient solar energy supply to the underwater charging station. In addition, an intelligent energy-conserving system optimizes energy consumption, which contributes to uninterrupted cleaning and charging operations while prolonging the battery’s service life.

WYBOT S2 Solar integrates solar technology and smart automation features to revolutionise traditional pool cleaning methods. It can automatically perform cleaning tasks and autonomously return to the underwater charging station for charging when its battery runs low, eliminating the hassle of manual intervention and providing an effortless, efficient pool maintenance solution.

Moreover, the product takes into account environmental protection throughout its lifecycle and strictly follows the concept of sustainable development. WYBOT S2 Solar powers the underwater robot through solar energy, reducing reliance on conventional electricity and lowering carbon emissions.
