Project Brief
Zitangyuan is located in the CBD of Jinsha Lake, Hangzhou. With the original intention of "extending the living radius", it redefines the transitional space of buildings as a community vitality field full of warmth and vitality. We have reconstructed the interactive relationship between people and space with the original texture and the flowing money design, making the social scene like a continuously growing organic life, constantly evolving new possibilities of life in the flow of time.
Project Need
From afar, one can see layers of greenery; up close, one can enjoy the graceful play of light and shadow. The long bar area sketches an Oriental atmosphere with contemporary brushstrokes. The woven chandeliers pour down with a warm glow, and the high chairs draw elegant arcs, creating a delicate visual balance with the horizontal lines of the bar. The sports area, on the other hand, presents a different rhythm of life. The grey cement wall serves as the backdrop, and the transparent interface brings the vibrant greenery into view. This is not merely a sports field, but a healing space where one can release both body and mind in nature.
Design Challenge
The moss green wall softens the spatial boundaries in the form of life and forms a subtle dialogue with the decorative paintings of the world map. The spotted texture stone bench balances the refinement of the space with its rugged touch, providing residents with a quiet corner for reflection and contemplation.
Sustainability
This project makes extensive use of local natural materials such as stone, bamboo, and recycled wood, which significantly reduces the carbon emissions generated by material transportation. At the same time, bricks and steel from the demolition of the original buildings are recycled and reused, which not only reduces the generation of construction waste but also saves costs.
Through scientific and reasonable planning, the project ensures that the building layout and window design make the most of natural light. For example, large floor-to-ceiling windows and light guide tubes are installed, enabling the interior to function without relying on artificial lighting during the day, thus significantly reducing electricity consumption.
