Project Brief

In addition, the principles of Feng Shui are taken into careful consideration during the design process. Glass tiles are strategically incorporated to address any Feng Shui concerns and to reduce the sense of pressure within the space. This approach has both aesthetic and practical benefits, resulting in a space that is not only visually pleasing but also conducive to a sense of tranquillity and peace. As one steps into the interior space, a well-crafted and thoughtful design awaits. The designer's attention to detail is evident in the use of light partitions that effectively separate the different areas. The glass block walls are not only visually appealing but also provide privacy, while also addressing the feng shui concern of "through-the-porch". These walls also contribute to the openness of the space, reducing the feeling of confinement in the long hallway.

Project Innovation/Need

The low cabinets and subtle lighting create an inviting and calming atmosphere, which is perfect for individuals to unwind after a long day. The common area boasts an open design that seamlessly blends the living room, dining room, and kitchen, providing ample space for various activities. The flooring features a mix of materials that elegantly separates the dining room and kitchen.

Design Challenge

In the living room, the walls surrounding the floor-to-ceiling windows are adorned with vibrant colours that provide a stunning window view and transform the entrance into an art gallery. The space is a perfect place for the soul to relax and rejuvenate. Overall, the designer's thoughtful use of materials and space has resulted in a beautiful and functional interior. The team’s focus on residential design places equal importance on creating a comfortable living space while also prioritising the protection of the environment. The approach includes utilising environmentally friendly special coatings that are not only breathable but also non-toxic, regulate moisture levels, and efficiently decompose odours. This results in a healthy and comfortable living environment for residents.

Sustainability

The designers are committed to utilising sustainable wood materials to minimise our impact on the environment. To further reduce our carbon footprint and conserve energy, the team has installed low energy consumption, and highly efficient LED lighting throughout the entire room. The design promotes the four pillars of "Habitat Health," "Ecological Health," "Human Health," and "Earth Sustainability." By prioritising these values, the team creates a residential space that is both comfortable and environmentally responsible.
