In a bustling city and a high-pressure life, home is both a destination and a harbor. "We need architecture, but we don't want to occupy living space." This is the beginning of this case. The design concept of this case comes from the "Mobius ring", a symbol that symbolizes infinity and the future. Infinity is not a boundary without constraints, but The next happiness after happiness. The streamlined architectural form starts from the ground and ends at the ground, with a purely curved layout, interwoven and extended spaces. The architecture and the environment are naturally integrated into one, low-key but not lacking in connotation. The seemingly smooth and concise architectural shape is composed of many nodes. The hyperbola produces infinite changes in the three-dimensional space. With the help of the control of parameter numbers and repeated deliberation and modification, this future living museum with a sense of technology can be completed. Dayin is hidden in the city's Future Life Hall, the first stop of returning home, walking among the landscape roofs, shuttling through the overhead passages, and returning home.

Project Brief

Qianshan Lingyun Project is located in the fast-growing Optics Valley of Wuhan. It is a high-density community of super high-rise residential buildings. Returning more ground space to the community is an important topic of this project, and the design is based on this, and a landscape-style multi-functional living hall was born. Relying on the nature-led nature, the concept of "returning to the community" is put forward to bring the whole community into nature and regain the freedom of the community. Centering on the living hall, the landscape patches and lifestyles are integrated to construct three complete "landscape patches" of canyons, flower valleys, and stream valleys. And use artistic methods to link the whole area, so that the functions and vegetation can maintain a moderate growth space, so that people can walk comfortably in the whole community, so that people living in the city can pursue what they deserve and nature in the canyons, streams, and jungles. The experience of getting along, looking for the true meaning of life, and looking forward to the future world of art.

Project Innovation/Need

The architectural inspiration of the full-fledged art life hall comes from the "Mobius ring", which symbolizes the symbol of infinity and the future, implying that the imagination and possibility of life here will never be limited, and you can write and define by yourself. Under the guidance of the overall view of the overall design, the coordination of planning, planning, architecture, landscape, interior and art design and other related disciplines are integrated into one and penetrate each other. On the roof, the lush and layered plant layers are used to give modern buildings an approachable temperature. . The roof garden that rises gradually from the ground is decorated as a fantasy-like flower mirror, blurring the boundaries between landscape and architecture. A sea of ​​flowers extends here: flowers in spring, waterfalls in summer, leaves in autumn, and snow in winter, shuttle in the changes of space and grow in the changes of time, for people to stay, rest, play, and bathe in the sun here. Time freezes here, and body and mind relax here. The living hall is displayed in front of people with a brand-new look and form, which is refreshing.

Design Challenge

Under the premise that Party A gave us the greatest degree of creative freedom, we also tried many bold ideas at the beginning of the project. After several rounds of discussions and agreements with Party A, we finally decided to use the "Mobius ring" as a very symbolic design. The element of meaning is the prototype of the final plan, which appears in front of people in its landscape-like form. Due to its hyperbolic form, which is completely different from traditional buildings, it poses a huge challenge to the structure. With the help of the optimization of parametric software and the precise control of BIM technology, it can be presented on the ground. The overall tone of the building is off-white, which represents purity, and together with the simple streamlined curves, it conveys a sense of tranquility, leisure, and natural leisure. The exterior of the building is decorated with equidistant beige metal grilles. When entering the interior of the building from the overhead space at the entrance, you can go down the stairs, giving people a rich sense of space experience and light and shadow experience. The main function is located underground, unfolding around two sunken courtyards, like an intertwined art gallery, where you can feel the art of light. The contrast between the dynamic roof and the static underground living hall is harmonious.

Sustainability

What is the ideal state of urban life? Half modern, half ecological, perhaps the best answer. In the post-industrial era, various crises of urban development are constantly emerging. The urban ecological crisis and various urban diseases derived from it have threatened the quality of life and even the sustainable development of life. How to connect people and nature is what every designer needs to pay attention to continuously. This case was completed under the background of national restraint in 2020. The sense of ecology and future of Wuhan Xuhui·Qianshan Lingyun is obvious. The fusion of multiple materials, one-time molding process, parametric design, BIM precise control, sound and light technology It is not easy to realize various bold attempts here. We hope to use half modern, half ecological restraint design to awaken people's desire to return to the ecological environment and look forward to the future artistic life. Travel through the jungle, above the clouds of modern elegance, and step into the dream home, embracing the lush growth of plants. In a space of "exploring the future with science and technology with a natural ecological background", I hope to temporarily forget the hustle and bustle of the world and return to the authentic life that maintains the social warmth.
