Project Overview
The concept of design is influenced by life, and design can also shape and transform one's lifestyle. Initially, this project was intended for commercial use as an office space. However, after thorough consultation with the owner, the designer carefully examined the family's lifestyle and envisioned how they would interact within the space. The main focus was to create a residential area that promotes intimacy and strengthens emotional bonds among family members. The designer managed to achieve this by designing a spacious shared living area that encourages regular family interactions and enhances emotional connections.

Project Brief
The interior space of this residence is bright and spacious, opening the door to a better life. For the entrance cloakroom, the designer uses black mirrors as the material configuration to maintain storage function and achieve space enlargement through a mirror reflection. The overall effect is modern and high-tech. In addition, the designer planned an open space design for the shared living area, integrating the living room, dining room, kitchen, and work area. This creates an open living space for the family to communicate and interact with each other, strengthening their relationships.
Project Innovation/Need
On the other hand, marble slabs clad the columns on both sides of the living room sofa, creating a quiet division between the working area, audio-visual area, and dining and kitchen space. The male homeowner's work area is brilliantly planned into the common area, separated only by a low wall for easy observation of the children's movement and safety while working. The open design of the kitchen and dining area, combined with the windows on the side, allows natural light to enter the room, creating a warm atmosphere for the dining area and reducing the need for artificial lighting.
Design Challenge
As for the kitchen, the designer adopts an open layout, connecting the living environment and increasing the sense of space. The center island provides a space for meal preparation, storage, drinking, and parent-child interaction. The wood veneer ceiling corridor leads to the bedroom, with Morandi colors creating a quiet and comfortable resting atmosphere for the residents. The designer has utilized a modern style as the foundation for this project. With the designer’s imaginative approach, virtual and real techniques have been employed to incorporate shades of gray and black, including gray marble, gray terrazzo laminates, dark gray kitchenware, black mirrors, and a few metallic elements. This has resulted in a contemporary, serene atmosphere with a restrained texture and multiple visual layers. In addition, to meet the homeowner's storage requirements while maintaining the space's aesthetic appeal, the designer has cleverly concealed the storage area in the TV cabinet and the storage room, allowing for an overall clean and airy surface.
Sustainability
To make this residence more eco-friendly, the designer incorporates sustainable materials such as special flooring, recycled glass countertops, and energy-efficient appliances. Installing solar panels can also help reduce the home's carbon footprint. Additionally, using low-VOC paints and incorporating plenty of natural light can improve indoor air quality and reduce the need for artificial lighting.
