Project Overview

Design is pursuing the perfect attitude and taste of life, so individuals design for a better lifestyle and a more beautiful life. This is an interior design project for a residence located in the mountains and forests next to a busy city, with a quiet environment and beautiful scenery. Through the design team's clever planning and exquisite execution, simple lines are delicately utilized to outline and are not overly decorated. Besides, the overall space resembles a canvas with excellent texture, allowing natural light and shadow to travel through it and matching the homeowner's art collection and furniture to create a unique natural beauty.

Project Brief

Inside the residence, the design team planned a lot of white, tan, and burnt gray as the color base to create a blank canvas and then added the owner's art collection and furniture to make it the main character of the space. The RA100 solar light and the RA90+ light source add luster to the art collection and furniture. In addition, the open layout of the living and dining rooms provides a spacious space for the residents to move around and introduces curved elements to eliminate the cold and hard feeling of the carriers. Besides, the long transparent dining table is used in the main space to show the unique artistic taste.

Project Need

Towards the bedroom, a darker color scheme is used instead of the bright colors in the public area to create a quiet and calm space, giving the residents a comfortable and peaceful resting atmosphere. Moreover, the bathroom is paved with white marble, and abundant natural light is introduced to create a bright and airy bathing space. Because of the excellent natural scenery of the base environment, the design team deliberately adopts a large window design to invoke natural light into the room so that the interior space will change with time, thus creating a distinctly unique spatial atmosphere.

Design Challenge

The overall space is based on a minimalist form and pure colors. Then the residents can add colors or configurations according to their personal preferences to create their own living space. In addition to the apparent spatial planning, the design team also has small ingenuity in the unseen parts, such as the hidden sound-absorbing sponge in the ceiling, which filters noise and creates a quieter spatial atmosphere. This way, a modern minimalist house with comfort, beauty, and texture is constructed.

Sustainability

With the rising awareness of environmental protection, for the project, the designer uses green building materials throughout the house to implement the four major environmental protection spirits, including healthy living, ecological health, human-centered health, and global sustainability, so that the residents can live in a healthy and secure environment. Besides, the design team also uses low power-consuming electrical equipment to achieve energy-saving and carbon-reducing effects and realize the goal of environmental preservation. In view of the excellent lighting conditions of the site, the team deliberately adopted large windows in all areas to let in much natural light and bathe the space in sunlight. By doing so, it satisfies users' needs for light without turning on the lights during the daytime, thus reducing the use of lamps, extending their service life, and reducing power consumption.
