Project Overview

The site was originally a steel-framed office space with an area of 446.2 square meters. The project includes 5 independent offices, 2 meeting rooms for 40 people, independent audio-visual rooms, an open kitchen area, and an open office area.

The designer expects to create a high-quality and comfortable office space. The open plan is complemented by high ceilings and an industrial style that preserves piping, and linear lighting to create a modern atmosphere. The designer then uses light wood tones and beige to form a pleasant and elegant atmosphere that extends to desks, chairs, ceilings, and walls. Each worker can thus feel at ease, which in turn enhances office efficiency. It is worth mentioning that the project adopts an open plan and takes care of privacy, thus improving the quality of office and life.

Project Brief

After discussing with the client, the designer set up a few ingenious corners. For example, the outdoor patio is covered with green turf to create a relaxing atmosphere, and white coffee tables and chairs and colorful sofa chairs bring vitality to the space. In this era of social media, the office is a beautiful spot in daily life. The designer hopes that the space planning will allow the users to enjoy a relaxing moment while working.

Project Innovation/Need

The original layout was long and narrow, and only one side of lighting, so the designer set an open seating area in the middle to highlight the advantages of the space. The transparent glass partition indirectly brings in natural light and reduces the disadvantage of the long and narrow space, showing a spacious feeling. In addition, the designer chooses light colors and wood tones to create a bright and refreshing atmosphere.

Design Challenge

The project was in a very tight timeframe from initial discussions to completion. The client took a lot of time to find the site, so the designer was found 2 months before the opening. Moreover, the challenge was made even more difficult by a shortage of workers in the limited time available. Fortunately, with clear guidance from the client, the designer was able to do the best job and meet the schedule.

Sustainability

The project's large windows and glass partitions bring in natural light during the day, thereby significantly reducing the electricity consumption for artificial lighting. In the long run, this saves a lot of electricity and provides a healthy office environment where users can bask in daylight. The overall design is beneficial to both environmental sustainability and users, achieving a win-win situation.
