Project Brief
Embarking on the creation of Bansho Armadale, Function Fitouts and Evady’s Architecture set out to curate a space of unparalleled distinction. This high-end French-Japanese bistro demanded meticulous attention and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The fusion of design philosophies, utilization of premium materials, and the mastery of skilled craftsmanship birthed a dining oasis that impeccably marries timeless elegance with avant-garde culinary flair.
Project Innovation/Need
Bansho Armadale represents a groundbreaking concept in Melbourne's culinary landscape, seamlessly intertwining French finesse with Japanese artistry. The collaboration prioritized the use of premium materials and engaged specialist contractors to meet the project’s distinctive requirements. This innovative approach elevates the restaurant beyond traditional boundaries, setting new standards for cultural and culinary fusion.
Design Challenge
Embarking on a blank canvas tenancy, our team navigated intricate challenges to bring Bansho Armadale's vision to life. The introduction of curved ceilings and walls necessitated diverse framing techniques, including metal and custom wood sections. Overcoming structural complexities, such as a floating ceiling detail above the front bar, showcased our dedication to delivering a design that is both unique and technically demanding.
Sustainability
Function Fitouts’ commitment to sustainability is woven into the fabric of Bansho Armadale. Meticulous material selection, from locally sourced Australian native flowers to impactful textures like Signorino’s Laminam Ossido, underscores our dedication to eco-friendly practices. This commitment aligns with our overarching ethos, ensuring a sustainable, visually stunning, and culturally resonant dining environment that transcends conventional boundaries.
