Project Overview
This comprehensive design plan details the communal facilities envisioned for a residential property. With a primary focus on fostering resident interaction and catering to diverse needs, the design introduces a range of multi-functional spaces including a library lounge, community kitchen, children's play area, and family-friendly entertainment area. Departing from traditional enclosed structures, the design embraces an open layout and transparent screen materials to seamlessly interconnect each area, resulting in an expanded visual space.

Project Brief
Furthermore, the strategic use of consistent materials such as stone and wood, both indoors and outdoors, serves to dissolve the boundaries between interior and exterior, thereby amplifying the overall sense of space. Complemented by reflective water features and lush greenery, this design creates an inviting and vibrant atmosphere.
Through these deliberate measures, our team endeavours to cultivate a new, human-centric and natural living environment nestled at the foot of a serene urban mountain, providing residents with a respite from the urban hustle and bustle and the opportunity to embrace a serene and leisurely lifestyle.
Project Innovation/Need
Upon entering the room, one will be immediately struck by the team's adoption of a linear corridor design, effectively organizing functional areas on both sides to optimize circulation. In the library lounge, the use of large floor-to-ceiling windows and a transparent compartment design allows natural light and greenery to infuse the space, creating an inviting and well-lit reading atmosphere. The presence of both long and round tables caters to the diverse needs of residents.
Design Challenge
Meanwhile, the well-equipped community kitchen is poised to facilitate future cooking classes, promoting increased communication and interaction among residents. Looking out to the atrium area, one can observe the team's implementation of a perforated concrete block wall design, enhancing light transmission and maintaining a seamless connection between the interior and exterior landscapes.
The entrance to the parent-child entertainment room creates a dynamic spatial tone using interlaced lines, lighting, mirrors and pop elements, allowing residents to not only relax but also enjoy a vibrant living experience. The hive-shaped wall cabinet with its pop colors also provides storage functions. Moving to the children's play area, the colorful application continues, adding a touch of childlike fun to the space. In addition, considering the safety of children's activities, most of this area is designed with curved edges for walls, stairs, and furniture to prevent collisions and injuries. Walking along the corridor to the mailbox area, you will notice that, unlike the single function of the mailbox area in a typical residence, the team has deliberately added a sofa and coffee table here to create a living room-like atmosphere and provide residents with more opportunities for interaction.
Sustainability
In striving for a harmonious blend of aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility, this design places a strong emphasis on sustainability. Each functional area is adorned with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, inviting ample natural light to grace the interior spaces. The open layout facilitates the seamless circulation of light and air, thereby diminishing the reliance on artificial lighting and air conditioning, ultimately resulting in energy conservation and reduced carbon emissions.
Furthermore, the project embraces an abundance of lush greenery, not only enhancing the urban landscape, but also serving as a catalyst for improved air quality, ecological equilibrium, and the attenuation of the urban heat island effect. Ultimately, this endeavour aspires to provide residents with a serene haven while contributing to the creation of a sustainable oasis within the heart of the city.
