In keeping up with major competitor Google Maps, this new bike-sharing database is a huge step forward for Apple Maps. The bike share data feed is supported by Ito World and currently includes 179 cities across 36 countries.
Project Need
To access this bike-sharing dock information users simply need to type "bike sharing" or the specific bike sharing service into the Apple Maps search bar. The listing for each stand provides basic information for the service, including the address and contact details, as well as the service's mobile app. The app supports services such as Citi Bike, Ford’s GoBike, and Biketown, among others.
