Team

Relink Architects was founded in Sydney in 2015. We believe that design
can change lives, and we are passionate about creating more interesting
spaces. Through our lovable designs, we constantly seek ways to coexist
with the environment, presenting a design concept that interprets the
natural experience of the East. Our architectural and interior design
projects cover a wide range of fields, including cultural buildings,
independent residential buildings, high-end private residences,
commercial interior design, office spaces, cultural and tourism
guesthouses, and art installations. We always uphold the concept of
maintaining a natural harmony between people and the environment,
allowing people to fully experience the flow of space.

Project Brief

The initial renovation of Riverside Oak Golf Resort aims to create a modern and natural reception hall, enhancing the overall quality of the resort and providing guests with a comfortable and pleasant holiday experience.

Project Innovation/Need

The reception hall of the resort covers an area of approximately 400 square meters, serving as a multifunctional space for guests to have breakfast, relax after games, or unwind in the evening at the bar. We have removed the dull mineral fiber ceiling and created two inverted tree-shaped golf green-like ceilings with columns in the space, connecting the "greens" with tree branch forms to blend with the large outdoor green area, creating a natural atmosphere.

The walls of the reception hall are painted with light-colored latex paint, complemented by cashmere carpets with leaf patterns, creating a fresh and bright atmosphere. The bar counter is decorated with oak wood to unify with the overall style of the space.

Design Challenge

The renovation also includes the supporting rooms on the first floor. We have redefined the showers, changing rooms, and toilets, highlighting a soothing atmosphere with a wooden theme. Oak-colored wardrobes in the changing rooms create a warm atmosphere. The toilets feature terrazzo floors, natural stone washbasins, and mixed-color wall tiles, creating a relaxed and simple atmosphere. The showers are equipped with glass bricks to provide ample natural light while ensuring privacy.
The soft furnishings in the reception hall are primarily minimalist, with plenty of comfortable seating and sofas provided for guests to enjoy a comfortable resting space. The reception hall corridor area also displays some golf-related artworks, and paintings, as well as trophies and memorabilia from past golf events, echoing the theme of the venue.

Sustainability

Low carbon and environmental sustainability were the primary considerations at the beginning of our design process. The interior uses reclaimed wood as the main decorative material, which not only reduces the negative impact on the environment but also improves indoor air quality. Additionally, the interior design extensively incorporates energy-efficient equipment and smart home technology, such as LED lighting, smart thermostats, and water-saving devices, further reducing energy consumption.
The interior design of Riverside Oak Golf Resort focuses on "natural and comfortable" themes. Through spatial layout, lighting design, soft furnishing, and other means, it creates a space that is both modern and naturally inviting, enhancing the overall quality of the resort and providing guests with a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience.
