Project Overview
The project is a shared space. The name, “Monochrome Muse”, comes from the strong connection between color and artwork. The designer used a calm gray tone as the base. The inclusive nature of gray enhances the display of the artwork and creates an intellectual and elegant atmosphere. The gallery-like design showcases several large-scale artworks, bringing a visual and spiritual feast to the residents.
In this space, the art element is not only limited to the gallery, but also in the whole shared space. The designer skillfully installed decorations and sculptures that resemble eyes, feathers, and teardrops in each area, and these thematic artistic expressions are scattered throughout the space. Each area is strongly linked to the art exhibition, emphasizing the core concept of the design: the surprise of discovering something new and beautiful every time one enters.

Project Brief
It's a scene like an art gallery. The natural texture of the gray marble floor is like a masterpiece. The mixture of gray and white is natural and not overdone. The reception counter in the center is made of modern black and white marble, and its organic curved shape symbolizes the eye. Behind the counter, the wood-grained wall is displayed in a staggered pattern. The clear texture of each wood panel creates a dynamic visual effect. The feather crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling is dazzling, emphasizing the beauty and artistic atmosphere.
The corridor is a fusion of modernity and art. The walls are covered in light gray and hung with several large abstract paintings. A glass partition on the side connects the bright and open meeting area. The overall layout is clear, revealing a wide scale in the daylight and emphasizing openness and fluidity.
Project Innovation/Need
A fusion of modernity and elegance: The design of the lobby shows a perfect blend of modernity and elegance. The designer utilized curved structures to present a smooth and natural dynamic aesthetic from the ceiling to the countertops. The arcs are like natural curves of the eyeballs, allowing people to look into the space as if they were looking at each other, thus awakening deep thoughts in the mind. When occupants enter the gray texture space, they are like entering an exhibition space in an art museum.
Artistic elements are skillfully integrated: The use of art elements is not only limited to the corridor but also throughout the entire shared space. The designer flexibly installed decorations and sculptures that resemble eyes, feathers, and teardrops in each area. These three thematic art forms are dispersed throughout the space to demonstrate a strong connection with the art exhibition, thus emphasizing the core concept of the design.
Design Challenge
The venue has a six-meter-high ceiling with multiple columns and beams. The designer adopted a series of innovative solutions. In order to reduce the visual pressure of the pillars, the designer chose to cover them with materials of the same color as the surroundings to weaken the structure. Moreover, the designer also utilized lighting and shadow effects to subtly conceal the pillars, keeping the space fluid and unified. The scheme demonstrates the designer’s meticulous attention to detail and technical mastery.
Sustainability
The project fully realizes the value of sustainable architecture, especially in terms of lighting, materials, and ventilation. The designer used iron and glass partitions to maximize natural lighting and effectively reduce the reliance on artificial lighting. In terms of material selection, eco-friendly green building materials such as architectural concrete are complemented by lightweight cement panels to ensure structural stability and environmental friendliness.
The building design optimizes natural ventilation. The location and structure of the building are designed to realize indoor air convection through front and rear windows to further enhance indoor air quality. Suspended air-conditioners allow uninterrupted airflow. Intelligent sensor lights in corridors significantly improve energy efficiency. The project reduces unnecessary energy waste and demonstrates a deep commitment to environmental responsibility.
