Project Brief

To address the limitations of traditional plug-in mosquito repellents, such as rather limited functionality and a lack of smart features, this product integrates a smart touchscreen that supports easy control over timing, settings, and night light, flexibly catering to various scenarios.

It offers three timing options—4 hours, 8 hours, and 12 hours—allowing users to tailor the device to their specific schedules and ensuring effective mosquito repelling when needed. With just a single touch, this device can switch between two modes: the regular mode, perfect for small spaces or areas with fewer mosquitoes, and the intense mode, ideal for larger spaces or areas with more mosquitoes. This flexibility maximizes both energy efficiency and mosquito-repellent performance. Moreover, the integrated night light provides a gentle glow, and its pulsating effects sync with breathing patterns, creating a peaceful and soothing environment for a better sleep.

Project Innovation/Need

The touchscreen intuitively displays the working status of the mosquito repellent and provides easy control over multiple functions:

- Flexible Timing: Users can set the device for 4, 8, or 12 hours, with a cyclic timing mode and memory function to adapt to personal schedules, whether it's for naps or nighttime sleep.

- Dual Modes: Users can choose between regular and intense modes to suit different room sizes and mosquito densities.

- Night Light: The integrated light offers gentle illumination at night. Its intensity adjusts in sync with breathing patterns, creating a soft, pulsating effect that fosters a soothing, relaxing sleep environment.

Design Challenge

The primary challenge in this design was to deliver a truly personalized and smart experience without compromising its exceptional mosquito-repellent performance.
For this end, the formula uses high-quality, plant-based repellent ingredients imported from Japan, ensuring safety and effectiveness over an area of up to 28 square meters. The device also integrates a touchscreen that simplifies control of timing, mode switching, and night light. Moreover, it offers three timing options and two repelling modes (regular and intense), ensuring the optimal performance in different environments and meeting users' diverse living habits.
