Project Brief
Traditional strapless bras usually struggle with easy slippage, deep indentations, and short service life, with the conventional single-clasp design easily causing shifts during movements, resulting in a poor user experience. In response, LUCKMEEY pioneers the industry’s first Adjustable Front-Hook Closure Strapless Bra, featuring an innovative triple-grip design for not-at-all slippage even during high-intensity activities. Meanwhile, the patented one-piece peach-shaped cups employ a five-layer structure (made from several foam materials), well fitting and lifting the breasts to help users achieve an aesthetically pleasing breast shape. To adapt to various outfits, the bra comes with a deep-V design, and detachable straps, ensuring invisibility under evening gowns, casual wear, and beyond—empowering women to move freely without compromise.
Project Innovation/Need
- Adjustable Dual-Front-Clasp Design: Breaking away from the constraints of traditional strapless bras, the front clasps better gather the breasts, while the adjustable underband (65-75cm) offers three settings to meet the needs of different breast shapes, eliminating the sizing dilemma of ‘either overly tight fits or gaping cups’.
- Triple-Grip Design: The Comfort-Lock™ fabric utilizes the special yarn weaving process to form numerous hollows, enabling a counterphysical phenomenon of ‘the more you sweat, the better it grips’. As for both sides of the bra, one flexible boning effectively prevents upward shifts, complemented by three silicone straps for a secure inward hold, keeping the bra firmly in place even with arm movements. Drawing inspiration from arch bridges, the elastic silicone straps are embedded in the back to raise the bra’s center of gravity, which, coupled with the clasp of the underband, avoid downward shifts.
- Patented One-Piece Peach-Shaped Cups: The peach-shaped cups, thicker outside and thinner inside, fill gaps for fullness and naturally gather the breasts inward to achieve an ideal breast shape. The meticulously designed five-layer structure (made from several foam materials) not only improves comfort and breathability, but also mimics natural breast curves to deliver optimal support.
Design Challenge
LUCKMEEY’s design team was tasked to address several persistent challenges common in traditional strapless bras: poor anti-slip performance, limited sizing adaptability, and the difficulty of balancing lift with invisibility. To solve the frequent issue of slippage, the team developed the innovative Comfort-Lock™ Anti-Slip Fabric. This fabric leverages the water-absorbing and expansion properties of specialized yarns to enhance friction, while incorporating an arch-bridge-inspired structural design that redistributes weight for optimal support. Together, these features ensure a secure and snug fit, even during intense physical activities.
To tackle the problem of poor sizing adaptability—which often leads to either gaping cups or uncomfortable tightness—the team introduced an industry-first adjustable dual-front-clasp design paired with three adjustable positions of back straps. Users can fine-tune both the front clasp and back straps to ensure the bra stays perfectly in place without shifting downward. This thoughtful design not only improves fit across different body types but also enhances overall comfort and extends the service life of the strapless bra.
The perfect balance of fit and comfort is achieved through the patented one-piece peach-shaped cups. They are ingeniously designed with a gradient thickness—being thicker on the outside and thinner towards the inside—gently gathering breast tissue at the edges to ensure natural lift and support without any uncomfortable tightness.
