Project Brief
The designer tries to boldly embed an inclined wall in this project after reorganizing the spatial axis order. The inclined wall is the main focus in the space, and moderate the stressful feeling caused by the SRC structure system. On the inclined wall, several decorative groove lines with different dimensions can make the wall as an art statue and create a piece of spatial rhythm in the space. This is a strategy to mitigate the heavy feeling of the stone material.
Project Need
On the interface of the beams and columns, the designer tries to use the mirror material to deal with. The effect of reflection can create the overlapping images between the wall, the beams and the columns stretching out into endless. This is an effective visual strategy to enlarge the original spatial limitation.
Design Challenge
The vacant parts of the wall can create the permeable effect between two sides and have function when putting some collections. Therefore, the wall can connect public and private areas, direct the spatial paths, create the frame scenes and differentiate the spatial layers. The floor with tiling in different dirction matching with the wall can enlarge the spatial vision as well. This inclined wall stars different roles in the space with various visual aspects.
Sustainability
As the client's request, the arrangement of sliding doors is the interesting part to change the spatial configuration accordingly. The sliding doors can separate the bathroom and two bedrooms to fulfill the occasional need of the friend visits. The gray tone in the space can induce natural light to express the spatial identity by itself.
