The core theme of the exhibition is "ACG Dreamer," where visitors can delve into the rich history and evolution of anime and manga. What sets this exhibition apart is the inclusion of interactive experience zones, such as VR and XR, providing an immersive opportunity for guests to witness the seamless integration of anime and manga with cutting-edge technology. The design team aspires to deeply connect each visitor with the profound emotional impact that accompanies the ACG sensation, ensuring that this exhibition serves as more than just a glimpse into ACG culture, but as a transformative journey delving into dreams and creativity.

The world of fables and creative works possesses a unique ability to empower individuals. Amongst these, manga, anime, and games (ACG) stand out for their capacity to evoke genuine emotions in their audience through captivating characters, intricate scenes, and compelling storylines. Anime stories are known for their wildly imaginative themes, which ignite boundless creativity in their viewers. Moreover, these narratives carry an inherent power, subtly inspiring their audience to pursue their dreams. Thus, anime transcends mere storytelling; it serves as a medium for conveying emotions and ideas. The creators aspire for this exhibition to serve as a source of illumination, enabling the public to discover their own inner light through anime and manga. This light, upon being brought into the real world, has the potential to infuse hope into the lives and aspirations of its beholders.

Project Innovation/Need

"Light" plays a pivotal role in anime creation, serving as a powerful symbol representing the characters' emotions, the plot's atmosphere, and the underlying values. This exhibition ingeniously utilizes "light" to define the exhibition space for a wide array of anime and manga works. The aim is to offer attendees a diverse and immersive viewing experience by not only presenting the historical and developmental aspects of anime and manga but also by introducing cutting-edge VR games and XR video technology. Beyond educating visitors about the origins of anime and manga, the exhibition allows them to immerse themselves in the fusion of traditional art forms with contemporary technology, enriching their overall impression and fostering connections among fellow enthusiasts.

Design Challenge

In acknowledgment of the burgeoning trend of Vtubers, the exhibition features a dedicated area where visitors can engage with Vtubers in real time via strategically positioned cameras. This innovative approach marks a significant departure from traditional exhibition experiences and establishes a pioneering benchmark for anime and manga culture in the age of new media.

Sustainability

Instead of traditional printed materials, the exhibition will feature cutting-edge electronic screens as the primary display medium. Additionally, state-of-the-art XR (extended reality) technology will be employed to replace conventional display formats, promising attendees an innovative and immersive viewing experience. This forward-thinking approach not only aims to minimize resource consumption during setup but also seeks to reduce post-exhibition waste, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Ultimately, the exhibition endeavors to effectively communicate the allure and significance of anime and manga culture to a broader audience, with the hope of inspiring individuals to pursue and persist in their aspirations.
