Project Overview
The site is a shared space for a new residential building. The name, “Wonderful”, refers to perfection. The designers analyzed the relationship between the site and its surroundings, comparing the area to separate blocks that are closely connected. The door frames are outlined by special white squares, and the penetration and smoothness of the iron parts are used to achieve an unobstructed effect.
The centerpiece is a lounge with a piano. When the music is playing, the notes can move freely through the various areas. In a space full of humanistic meaning, transparent and clean color blocks are stacked to create brightness. The designers have also preserved the surrounding greenery to add liveness to the space. The connection between music and interior design is visualized. Under the modern and minimalist design, white iron pieces guide the movement and create wonderful interactions.

Project Brief
"The sound of music is the shock and resonance of the heart. The keys of the piano are a wonderful chapter that jumps out at the eyes."
Music is a beautiful art form in human life. Its existence brings us a diverse and colorful emotional experience in our lives. In the beautiful melody of music, we can feel joy, sadness, excitement, tranquility, and other emotions. Music permeates every corner of our lives, bringing us endless joy and pleasure.
So does interior design. It involves the understanding and mastery of space to create an aesthetically pleasing and functional experience that requires an in-depth understanding of color, material, and lighting. The interior design allows one to listen to the piano and enjoy the visual feast in a modern and elegant space.
Project Innovation/Need
Lines compared to the staff: The site has the advantage of high ceilings, so there are a lot of vertical lines cutting. The irregular lines give the large color blocks sophistication. The smoothness and extension of the lines also depict a comfortable look for the space in line with modern aesthetics. Visual rhythms also intertwine and harmonize with the sound of the piano.
Horizontal visual connection: The designers placed white metal as door frames at the transitions of each area. The details add uniqueness to the space. Although iron is often regarded as a heavy element in many people's minds, it appears in a new way. To emphasize the brightness and unobstructed nature of the space, the designers spray-painted the surfaces in pure white to make the ironwork look lighter. Imaginatively expressing the rhythm of musical notes as a visual.
Design Challenge
Analyzing the layout, the designers found that the columns and pipes are in the center area. Cutting according to the columns would cause confusion and fragmentation of the space. As a solution, the designers followed the columns and adjusted their volume to create partitions between the lobby and the lounge as well as the corridor. Because of the green surroundings, the designers kept the windows to maintain ventilation and natural lighting. The ceiling height of the top floor is only about 3 meters, and the black ceiling is transparent to maintain comfort.
Sustainability
The large windows and the extremely spacious scale of the interiors allow for natural light and movement of people. The designers retained the permeability of the windows and walls to ensure natural light and ventilation. Sliding doors allow for minimal compartmentalization, and high ceilings allow for natural airflow even when the appliances are not turned on.
In terms of building materials, the architects chose environmentally friendly green materials that are resistant to dirt and abrasion to ensure that the shared space can accommodate everyone. The space remains clean and tidy under frequent usage, minimizing the need for manual maintenance.
