Kick Agency partnered with FinTech company Monoova to celebrate its 5-year milestone with a bold rebrand that reflects its role as a dynamic force in finance and technology.
Monoova’s old branding was outdated and was missing the mark in conveying the company’s innovative position within the fintech sector. Our mission: establish a fresh, modern identity that not only elevated Monoova’s brand but created a visual language to speak to both secure, stability of finance management and the agility of technology.
Every element of the rebrand was thoughtfully designed to reflect this mission— a refined logo that stands out for the right reasons, a bright and inviting colour palette that is both approachable and powerful. We introduced versatile graphic elements, allowing Monoova’s identity to adapt across digital and physical spaces, solidifying its brand presence in the fintech landscape.
This rebrand marks a new era for Monoova, setting a foundation for continued growth, client connection and industry leadership and a go-to partner for innovative financial solutions.

Project Brief
Our comprehensive rebranding approach was strategised to harness Monoova’s unqiue brand essence and create a compelling visual identity. Balance was sought in aligning with the fintech sector's expectations while establishing Monoova’s leadership in the space.
Kick Agency’s brief involved a complete overhaul of Monoova’s visuals, in a bid to foster brand awareness, reinforce and reinvigorate their industry reputation, and do their 5-year milestone celebration justice. Our approach involved extensive prework and strategic planning to develop a modern, engaging identity that would convey Monoova’s strengths while being easily recognizable and versatile.
Our team created a range of design assets to support Monoova’s rebrand, including a comprehensive logo set, refined color palette, typography, bespoke iconography, and a distinctive branded graphic device system.
Each element was crafted — again, with balance in mind — to be simple and adaptable, ensuring that the new brand could extend across digital interfaces, event materials and print collateral with equal effectiveness.
This design process laid the foundation for a memorable and versatile brand presence and an identity that solidifies their future role as a trusted partner for businesses navigating the modern financial landscape.
Project Innovation/Need
The innovative heart of this rebrand lies in the Monoova block – a square shape representing Monoova in the brand’s logo. This unique element becomes a recognisable symbol and a versatile design tool adding depth and flexibility to Monoova’s branding.
The Monoova block is the basis for an unique graphic device system which adapts to various sizes and shapes, allowing it to be used in creative patterns, to mask imagery, or as focal points within visual content. This flexibility means Monoova can easily adjust the brand for a range of contexts while retaining a cohesive look and feel.
Additionally in three-dimensional form, the Monoova block can be creatively utilised across various touchpoints: from digital interfaces to physical events, such as being featured as stress balls at conferences or as cube stools in photoshoots.
The Monoova block simultaneously offers a simple yet strong presence to the brand, while also being a visual representation of adaptability that can be used online and offline.
Colour-coding played a central role in the rebrand for Monoova too — the colour palette features teal for Monoova and purple for their clients, aiming to demonstrate the synergy between them.
Design Challenge
Kick Agency’s initial challenge was being late to the party, having been brought into the rebrand project partway through its development. This meant timing became an immediate focus, particularly due to an immovable deadline of Monoova’s 5-year milestone event.
We needed to work efficiently to deliver a comprehensive visual identity within a tight timeline, while also ensuring the new brand was intuitive and easy for Monoova’s in-house team to manage long-term.
Crafting an identity that would be both visually engaging and simple enough for internal staff to implement without extensive training was a challenge we tackled by developing super clear branding guidelines and easy-to-use templates. These enabled Monoova’s team to apply the brand consistently and confidently across various formats.
On top of this, the new branding had to resonate with a diverse audience of stakeholders and clients, capturing the sophistication and importance of finance while also conveying the innovative energy of the tech sector. To meet these varied needs, we designed visual elements that took care to balance simplicity and adaptability — allowing the brand to make an immediate impact while supporting Monoova’s growth in the market.
Effectiveness
The rebrand launch for Monoova made an immediate impact on both internal teams and external audiences, establishing a refreshed image that resonated with the fintech community. The brand’s debut at the Intersekt Fintech conference in Melbourne received enthusiastic feedback — attendees and clients recognised the thoughtfulness and modernity of the new design. This rebrand extended Monoova’s reach and significantly boosted engagement with the brand.
Monoova’s Head of Marketing, Michelle Plews, commented on the project’s success:
