Project Brief

Issues about water quality maintenance in large swimming pools, especially those caused by frequently generated debris, have always been difficult to fully resolve within the industry; conventional pool cleaning methods fail to effectively deal with complex pollutants like floating oils, stubborn dirt, and metal residues, resulting in incomplete cleaning. To address that, the Beatbot iSkim Ultra utilizes a revolutionary ClearWater™ clarification system, ultrasonic sensors, and the industry-first 7-motor system to efficiently and naturally purify water, creating a hygienic, safe, and eco-friendly pool environment.

Project Innovation/Need

- The ClearWater™ clarification system rapidly and efficiently clarifies water to effectively prevent scum buildup and water discoloration. It not only clears a pool 4 times faster than traditional clarifiers, but also employs an enhanced filter pump to bind algae and tiny particles into larger clumps for easier removal, ensuring that pool water remains crystal-clear and healthy with minimal time and effort.

- The industry-first 7-motor system boasts unprecedented skimming power, providing reliable propulsion and supporting precise edge and surface cleaning. Meanwhile, the Beatbot iSkim Ultra featuring 20 high-precision sensors with pioneering tri-ultrasonic technology can intelligently adjust its cleaning plan according to swimming pool size. Additionally, its advanced obstacle avoidance technology helps to achieve optimal cleaning efficiency.

- With a unique brush design to tackle hard-to-reach areas, the device takes a leap in debris removal and coverage, while reducing the need for additional manual cleaning. The rotating dual-side brushes capture debris efficiently; the extra-large front roller brush effectively tackles large debris and extends cleaning coverage. The massive 9L filter basket boasts superior filtration capabilities; its anti-spill hatch and one-touch debris release function keep debris secure for reliable performance.

Design Challenge

The biggest challenge was how to integrate and deploy intelligent features for a better user experience. To address that, the Beatbot iSkim Ultra equipped with the Beatbot OS system allows for exceptional smart navigation and comprehensive pool coverage; the NavControl™ app enables users to remotely navigate the device precisely for targeted cleaning; benefiting from the one-click poolside parking function, users can guide the Beatbot iSkim Ultra to the poolside wall anytime with a simple click, saving space and facilitating convenient management; a built-in voice broadcast system informs users of real-time updates on cleaning progress, status, and alerts like low battery and high temperatures.

Sustainability

The Beatbot iSkim Ultra uses SolarTrack™ technology to maximize sunlight efficiency. Thanks to its 24W solar panel and high-capacity 10,000mAh battery, the device greatly reduces its dependence on traditional electricity, thus lowering energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while promoting sustainable energy use. The ClearWater™ clarification system adopts a 100% natural and biodegradable clarifier mainly made from chitosan, safeguarding users and contributing to environmental protection.
