Project Brief

The tights address the drawbacks of traditional “bare-leg effect” leggings—such as unnatural look, joint creasing, and the inconvenience of putting on or taking off through systematic innovations. The tights feature an innovative buttoned modular design, allowing the sheer outer layer and the fleece lining to be paired or separated as needed. This makes them easy to slip on and off while offering flexible styling for different occasions. The dynamic Anti-Crease System reduces crease build-up around the knees for a naturally smooth appearance and graduated compression structure achieves a subtle shaping effect. The tights use Colorgrip™ source-dyeing technology to create a natural, radiant “cream-skin” effect. Having been fully optimized to enhance the wearing experience, they meet users’ comprehensive needs for warmth, shaping, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.

Project Innovation/Need

Modular Design: The sheer outer layer and the fleece lining are connected by buttons, allowing them to be paired or separated as needed. This makes them easy to slip on and off while offering flexible styling for different occasions.

Dynamic Anti-Crease System: To reduce creasing around the knees and the popliteal space, they introduce a Dynamic Anti-Crease System: Using honeycomb elastic knitting, the fabric automatically stretches with every movement, reducing crease build-up by up to 70% for a naturally smooth appearance.

Toe Protection Design: The toe area features a toe protection design, leaving extra room to prevent long-wear pressure.

Graduated Compression Structure: The structure provides a scientifically stepped decrease in pressure from the ankle to the thigh, achieving a subtle shaping effect such as waist shaping, hip lifting, and body slimming.
Natural Skin Color: The tights use Colorgrip™ source-dyeing technology to create a natural skin color while avoiding the unnatural overly white or yellow look.

Durability and Craftsmanship: Critical areas, such as the crotch, employ a Y-shaped 3D cut combined with ultrasonic seamless bonding technology and high-strength composite materials to improve durability.

Design Challenge

The detachable button design enhances convenience, but if the buttons are not securely connected or misaligned, they can come loose or cause discomfort, compromising the overall wearing experience. After repeated testing, the design team optimized the number, location, and fastening mechanism of the buttons to ensure they stay securely in place even when the fabric stretches. The pattern also includes structural allowances, so the inner and outer layers fit smoothly on different body shapes, effectively reducing creases or marks caused by misalignment.

Sustainability

The product uses biodegradable and recyclable corrugated cardboard boxes and paper-based fillers for packaging, all certified under national green product standards, reducing plastic pollution, resource waste, and environmental impact from the source. Moreover, the brand has pioneered a closed-loop clothing recycling system, converting collected items—such as the tights—into industrial soundproofing materials, effectively establishing a sustainable circular chain from consumption to remanufacturing.

Fashion that has exemplary wearability thus minimises energy consumption, water use and waste. These items will have a high score on the BETTER FUTURE Wearability Index.
