Project Overview
The essence of a home is captured in the articulation of its walls and the nuanced play of illumination. Confronting the dwelling preferences of diverse generations, the artistry of walls and precision in lighting redefine the residence's aesthetic. The scheme marries contemporary artistry with classical elements, crafting a language of design that spans generations through the dance of light, the harmony of textures, and the luster of metals, turning each wall into an age-defying piece of art.
This approach forges a design vernacular that seamlessly spans the age spectrum, introducing contemporary layering with the meticulous arrangement of vertical and horizontal lines, enhancing the space with refined depth and modern allure.
Walls, enriched in detail and conception, allow light to act as a conductor, weaving a tapestry of light and shadow that shifts with time and perspective. Daylight brings a natural and soothing tone, accentuated by metallic gleams and defined contours; by night, illumination transforms the space into a radiant display of splendor. This dynamic interplay elevates walls from mere dividers to captivating narratives, enriching the spatial experience and inviting dwellers to revel in a sophisticated splendor that ensnares the senses. Through this, the design breaks free from traditional constraints, employing diverse artistic materials to achieve a three-dimensional sophistication that harmonizes with the space's modern essence.

BAILICHEN INTERIOR DESIGN CO., LTD., established in 2022, provides professional assistance throughout every phase, from the design proposal to the completion of the project. By meticulously organizing and planning, we craft customized spatial layouts tailored to individual user needs. A delightful spatial experience is born from attentive listening, effective communication, observant interpretation, and the creative infusion of imagination.
Project Brief
The design theme centers on wall and lighting design, facilitating a dialogue and exchange between generations. The space extensively employs vertical and horizontal lines to enhance layering and a modern aesthetic. Diverse artistic materials are interwoven, freeing the constraints between the two-dimensional and three-dimensional realms.
Richly textured stone is selected, allowing light to diffuse throughout the space. Soft reflection reveals spatial details, offering appropriate brightness at different times. An open layout minimizes barriers, ensuring smooth circulation for children and the elderly. Ceiling designs delineate spatial domains, creating an unobstructed view. The use of suspended sliding doors for spatial division not only maintains a smooth flow of movement without bottom tracks but also enhances cleaning convenience.
Classic elements are reimagined with innovative techniques - the living room TV wall utilizes classic Silver Fox marble, set in recessed surfaces with metal strips to form geometric shapes, modernly reinterpreting traditional stone. The dining room ceiling features a small dome constructed with curved frames, coated in reflective paint on wood veneer, adding texture and concentrating energy. The bedroom bathroom combines frosted glass with metal frames and textured walls for a modern feel, centering the shower space with exquisite Tiffany blue-green gemstone marble, adding a touch of noble elegance. The public toilet features a skylight design that introduces natural light, giving the space a bright, outdoor feel. Walls are clad with natural imitation stone slabs that have fewer dividing lines, creating a cohesive visual effect that showcases an original and pure appearance.
Project Need
Designs thoughtfully address all ages, focusing on easy movement and accessibility. Suspended sliding doors without bottom tracks cater to both the elderly and young, ensuring quiet operation and enhancing home life quality. Their trackless design also simplifies cleaning.
To balance Eastern cooking habits with the desire for an open kitchen, ink-splash textured thin stone is chosen for its durability and heat resistance, blending naturally with modern materials and designs. Glass sliding doors and accordion curtains address smoke, achieving a modern open kitchen aesthetic. The bi-directional doors smartly connect the kitchen, living room, and elder's room, maintaining openness and flexibility while adding a ceremonial touch to daily living.
The master bedroom features wave-patterned walls, with lighting that adds visual depth and softens the atmosphere with curved shapes. The audio-visual room's unique back wall uses hand-dyed wood veneer wallpaper with metal lines, creating glossy geometric patterns and textures on a golden backdrop. The public toilet, located in a semi-outdoor area, uses a skylight to bring in natural light, enhancing the outdoor feel with minimalistic natural stone panels for a pure, original look.
Design Challenge
This design project's primary challenge was to meet the diverse needs of modern families and find a perfect balance between traditional and contemporary aesthetics across generations. Striving to preserve traditional elements while embracing modern design concepts and innovations, it explores using modern materials and technologies to interpret classical aesthetics, maintaining harmony and cohesion throughout the design.
Special attention was given to the preferences and needs of every age group, such as accessible facilities for the elderly and integrating modern technology and trends for the younger generation. A cohesive color palette, enriched with various textures and materials, and a theme color of inclusive blue, common in art and porcelain, were used. Wall designs cleverly incorporate functionality, giving each wall significance and blending storage solutions aesthetically, like the dining room TV wall which combines practicality with style; reflective metal details and light strips add texture and reduce the visual impact of the stairway, crafting an artful yet functional living space.
Furthermore, the layout fosters family interaction and shared spaces, balancing beauty with multifunctionality and practicality, aiming to create a home that showcases fashion aesthetics while embodying traditional values.
Sustainability
To ensure residents' quality of life and health, this project uses environmentally certified stone slabs, non-toxic paints, and efficient LED lighting to minimize environmental impact. It prioritizes natural light to lessen dependence on artificial lighting.
A skylight design introduces natural light, enhancing the connection with nature. The project incorporates electric blinds, which are not only easy to clean but also reduce the potential for allergens, fostering a healthy and comfortable living environment.
Furthermore, the selection of furniture and decorative materials considers their source and production, prioritizing sustainable and environmentally certified materials. This approach aligns with eco-friendly trends and reflects a commitment to the responsibility towards future generations.
