Project Brief

Situated in the bustling city center, the building is well-equipped with a range of epidemic prevention facilities to ensure a safe and healthy living and working environment in today's post-epidemic era, offering peace of mind to residents and visitors alike.

Project Innovation/Need

The building’s facade is characterized by a pristine white color scheme, which contributes to a clean and luminous aesthetic. Retro elements such as small-opening tiles and iron windows have been reinterpreted in an innovative manner, thus perpetuating the urban allure of the area’s history. The ground floor is adorned with square windows of varying dimensions, allowing light to permeate akin to crystalline jewels, thereby capturing the attention of passersby. Consistency in visual appeal is achieved through the implementation of square windows on the upper levels, fostering a sleek and refined ambiance. Additionally, the rooftop sky gardens serve to enhance the city skyline and provide residents with a serene and intimate setting for relaxation.

Design Challenge

The first-floor lobby is distinguished by its curved metal ceiling design, which exudes a sleek and contemporary ambiance. The incorporation of tranquil and refined wood-grain walls, alongside gray flooring, imparts a welcoming warmth and a discernible sense of sophistication to the overall space, establishing an elegant and inviting reception area. Furthermore, the project introduces shared facilities such as a sports bar and a sky garden, offering residents a diverse array of spaces to enhance and diversify their daily routines.

Sustainability

This endeavor is dedicated to the creation of a building that prioritizes environmental sustainability, featuring an extensive green space that not only enhances air quality but also mitigates the urban heat island effect. Furthermore, the incorporation of permeable paving, rainwater harvesting systems, and water storage and infiltration frames optimizes the utilization of water resources for irrigation and planting. This proactive approach alleviates pressure on public drainage infrastructure and minimizes the risk of urban flooding.

Additionally, the structure is designed with advanced thermal insulation materials such as PS insulation panels, thermal insulation mortar, and LOW-E glass, aimed at reducing reliance on air-conditioning systems, resulting in tangible energy conservation and reduced carbon emissions.

In response to the post-epidemic era, the main entrance is equipped with a face recognition system to minimize physical contact during entry, while nano photocatalyst air cleaners and ultraviolet sterilizing lamps installed in the elevators serve to mitigate the transmission of pathogens, ensuring a hygienic indoor environment.
