Project Overview
In this residential planning project, the designer showcased their skillful use of space to create a versatile and inviting living environment. Through thoughtful layout arrangements and functional configurations, the design team transformed limited space into a realm of endless possibilities. By adopting an open design, the designer expanded the scope of potential activities, while also maximizing the utilization of unconventional spaces for storage. This not only improved spatial efficiency but also fostered a comfortable and convenient living environment for the residents. Furthermore, the incorporation of curved surfaces and linear elements added a touch of sophistication, enriching the living experience with a sense of pure elegance.

Project Brief
In the residential context, the shared living space is arranged in such a way that the primary source of illumination occupies only one side. This can potentially result in localized dimness. To address this concern, the designer has deliberately implemented an open layout, aligning the living area, dining space, and kitchen on a single axis to facilitate an unimpeded influx of natural light. Notably, the TV wall within the living area is adorned with curved leather-grained High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), augmented by artistic embellishments and linear lighting to engender a semblance of spatial depth.
Project Innovation/Need
The exterior design, configured in a pivot-like form, harmonizes with the rear wall of the sofa. In anticipation of the substantial storage requisites of the inhabitants, the designer has orchestrated a comprehensive storage cabinet along the back wall of the sofa, incorporating a partially exposed display cabinet to avert feelings of spatial confinement. Capitalizing on spatial efficiency, the designer has astutely consecrated the area beneath the staircase for a purposeful dining cabinet, effectively optimizing the available space.
Design Challenge
Upon transitioning to the private domain, one observes that the bedroom adeptly utilizes earthy hues to engender a welcoming and comforting ambiance conducive to relaxation. Furthermore, the designer has thoughtfully integrated upper and lower cabinets into the rear wall of the bed, not only furnishing ample storage space for the occupants but also establishing a practical platform for the placement of their daily necessities.
Sustainability
In the interest of creating a visually stunning, healthy, and sustainable living space, our design incorporates an extensive array of environmentally conscious building materials and techniques. The public area layout has been consciously opened up to enhance natural lighting, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The entire space is illuminated by energy-efficient LED lights, ensuring both cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint. Additionally, we have employed low-formaldehyde art paints and HPL as our primary building materials, safeguarding the health and well-being of both the builders and future occupants.
